Submerged: Hidden Depths is a fun, if short, exploration adventure game. Sailing from ruin to ruin on the hunt for trinkets and items is fun, and supported by a solid tracking system that keeps tabs on the items you have collected versus those you have yet to find. Exploration is enjoyable, supported by a half-decent story to boot, but for many, it will be the repetitive hunt for items that will be make or break. If, like me, you enjoy searching every last nook and cranny for items to tick off a list then Submerged: Hidden Depths will be right up your street.

Tunic est un jeu terriblement difficile à juger, tant il dépendra de ce que l’on est prêt, en tant que joueur, à lui offrir en temps et en investissement. Les combats sont difficiles, les énigmes excessivement complexes et l’univers, bien qu’il profite d’une direction artistique et sonore de qualité, dégage une froideur qui ne plaira pas à tout le monde. Malgré tout cela, il n’empêche que ce jeu offre quelque chose d’inédit qui, manette en mains, nous invite au voyage et à l’aventure…

Tunic è uno dei tributi più appassionati che abbiamo mai avuto modo di provare verso la serie The Legend of Zelda, in particolare A Link to the Past, cui somiglia in moltissimi aspetti e a cui porge rispetto ogni volta che può. Sembra essere per prima cosa un atto d'amore, quindi un'opera a se stante. Se vogliamo qui ci sono tutta la sua bellezza e i suoi limiti: da un lato riesce ad avvicinarsi al suo oggetto di venerazione, dall'altro non sembra mai volersene davvero distaccare, se non in qualche riuscita diversione stilistica. In ultima istanza il viaggio non c'è dispiaciuto per niente, nonostante lo avessimo in buona parte già fatto.

I think Tunic might be one of the standout titles of the year so far. We all expected Elden Ring, Gran Turismo 7, and Horizon Forbidden West to be good. Tunic, on the other hand has provided one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had without expecting it. Coming from one person makes it even more special. Some titles have hundreds of people working on them and often fail to succeed. Many are going to love the Death’s Door similarities, but Tunic is one of a kind. From the satisfying combat to the joy in exploring the ruins, forests, and dungeons, it is one hell of a title.

Syberia The World Before è un omaggio alla fantasia di Benoît Sokal, l'autore belga scomparso nel 2021, un'avventura punta e clicca dal sapore antico e nostalgico, forte di una doppia linea temporale che si traduce necessariamente in una storia doppiamente appassionante, specie rispetto al passo falso visto con Syberia 3. Certo, non si tratta certo di un titolo perfetto, né tantomeno del miglior esponente di un genere molto in voga negli anni '90, ma il ritorno di Kate Walker (questa volta "accompagnata" dall'altrettanto coraggiosa Dana Roze) è sicuramente consigliabile per chi vuole immergersi in un universo narrativo davvero unico nel suo genere.
