Unpacking è uno di quei giochi che non vuole strafare. Nel suo piccolo, è capace di affascinare, proponendo un'esperienza che sa di "già visto", eppure abbastanza peculiare da trovare una sua strada distintiva. Non è uno di quei titoli indipendenti rivoluzionari, in grado di dare uno schiaffo morale all'industria, ma rimane comunque un ottimo prodotto, realizzato con dedizione e, soprattutto, consapevolezza del linguaggio scelto per veicolare un racconto semplice, con cui chiunque può identificarsi, almeno in parte.

Shin Megami Tensei V è al contempo una evoluzione e uno stravolgimento della formula che ha reso la saga di Atlus famosa in tutto il mondo. Dal punto di vista del sistema di combattimento, introduce nuove meccaniche come le Abilità Magatsuhi e le Essenze, che completano un mosaico armonioso e regalano alcune tra le boss fight più memorabili di sempre. Sul versante esplorativo, invece, il titolo relega i classici dungeon claustrofobici a sequenze limitate, e li sostituisce quasi integralmente con una open map fatta di illusioni ottiche e architettoniche costruite con intelligenza. Sul piano narrativo, infine, si addolcisce, con meno scenari onirici e più situazioni tipiche dello school drama nipponico. Shin Megami Tensei V non riesce in cuor mio a superare l’amore per il quarto capitolo, ma con le sue battaglie mozzafiato, e l’architettura disorientante del suo Aldilà, entra di diritto nell’olimpo dei migliori titoli per Nintendo Switch.

Happy Home Paradise is an extremely breezy and relaxing add-on to the base game, that remains quintessentially Animal Crossing, and quintessentially New Horizons, imbibing their respective strengths, and letting players exercise their creative aesthetic with few limitations whatsoever.
