Tribes of Midgard est assurément un bon mélange entre les genres du Rogue-Lite et du Tower-Defense. Cependant, le titre souffre de quelques problèmes au niveau de la redondance et de la construction assez bancale. De plus, nous ne savons pas quel est le réel but de continuer à jouer après avoir battu au moins une fois le Boss de Saga car à part gravir les niveaux du passe de combat on finit par tourner en rond. Cela dit, nous avons hâte de voir ce que les développeurs nous réservent comme nouveaux contenus en 2022, et on espère avoir une bonne raison de relancer ce très bon titre.

A mashup of many genres, Tribes of Midgard manages to do many things well. It does ask a great deal from you, and it offers little in the way of instruction, but if cooperation and discovery under pressure is your jam, this is the game for you.

En l'état, outre son contenu un peu léger, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector est un jeu… moyen. Ce qui est déjà quelque chose pour une licence qui a dernièrement multiplié les adaptations bâclées. Mais grâce à son coeur de gameplay plutôt solide, et surtout aux promesses des développeurs concernant des améliorations et du nouveau contenu, le titre dispose d'une bonne base pour potentiellement devenir d'ici les prochains mois l'une des meilleures adaptations du jeu de plateau sur PC (et consoles).

I will say if you even remotely like the look of the art then Blightbound is a must buy to experience that alone, it's worth every penny in that regard, but if you are looking for anything more then I’d sadly give it a miss. I really wanted to like Blightbound, it's clear there is some real passion and brilliance in places but it just never reaches anything close to its potential. The rabbit hole is horribly shallow, the promising first leap into the magical world being cut horribly short as you hit the earth with a deafening thud.

Samurai Warriors 5 è un videogioco (e prima ancora di questo, un musou) che vive di molti alti e bassi. Tutto lascia pensare che alla Koei abbiano avuto un budget assai più ristretto degli anni precedenti, e che si siano quindi ritrovati a dover fare di necessità virtù. Un videogioco dove una scrittura approfondita si irrigidisce in una narrazione troppo radiofonica, dove un’estetica ispirata si affianca a una grafica troppo spartana per il 2021, e un gameplay accessibile, divertente ed esaltante che è subito accanto alla solita demoralizzante ripetitività. Il tutto produce una reimmaginazione accattivante ma che è anche un esperimento riuscito solo a metà; non è il peggior Samurai Warriors che sia mai stato fatto, ma non è neanche il migliore.

Pour paraphraser le grand philosophe Dewey, on ne s’attendait pas forcément à une grande surprise de la part de Night Book, mais on est quand même déçu. Oui c’est vrai, la seule jaquette du jeu aurait dû nous inciter à la méfiance. Imaginé comme un FMV empli de mysticisme et de mystères, Night Book peine à insuffler quoi que ce soit à son univers, se perdant trop rapidement dans des scènes mollassonnes, des choix sans intérêts, jusqu’à des situations parfois ubuesques. Julie Dray a beau faire preuve d’implication pour donner de la vie à son pauvre personnage, elle n’est pas franchement bien épaulée par le reste du casting. En bref, à moins que vous n’ayez écumé tout ce qui existe d’autre en matière de FMV sur Xbox, on ne saurait honnêtement vous conseiller ce Night Book.

The Great Ace Attorney is a duology that any fan of the series should play and also serves as a great entry point for newcomers. Whether it’s the great new story and characters, the high quality slate of cases, or the new mechanics that help break the usual mold of the series, there’s very little to dislike about this fantastic spinoff.

Within the Blade is full of action and stealth, just like what you would expect a ninja to be good at. Unfortunately some of the levels become quite repetitive, but the game offers a unique weapon crafting feature that you don’t usually see in games like this.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles è una gradita aggiunta alla rosa della serie, una doppietta di giochi che aggiunge meccaniche nuove (almeno per noi occidentali) a un gameplay consolidato e mette in scena una storia avvincente, seppur non tutti i casi riescano a tenere il passo in termini di coinvolgimento. Eccessivamente prolisso in alcune situazioni e con una gestione dei processi spesso fin troppo sopra le righe, la raccolta pecca per dei tutorial che si dilungano troppo e per una certa ridondanza quando si tratta di chiamare in causa la giuria popolare e il suo sfavore nei nostri confronti. Certi processi ne avrebbero beneficiato di più, se fossero stati snelliti, e a volte si arriva alla fine quasi più per sfinimento che per reale interesse. Nella loro bizzarria, sono molto apprezzabili le fasi di deduzione, e smantellamento delle stesse, con Herlock Sholmes, che assieme a Barok van Zieks risulta uno dei personaggi meglio caratterizzati del gioco. L'aggiunta delle storie brevi, nei contenuti extra del gioco, getta nuova luce su alcuni personaggi rivelandosi un piacevole contenuto aggiuntivo. La mancanza della localizzazione in italiano, considerando che stiamo parlando di una visual novel, non gioca a favore di chi ha qualche difficoltà con l'inglese.
