Borderlands 3 sometimes struggles to earn your time commitment. Whether that's testing your patience with a plentiful supply of bullet sponges or quests that outstay their welcome, it's difficulty lies within wanting to continue playing it. To play Borderlands 3 is a true test of endurance that may cause actual fatigue and exhaustion after a few hours. While it reaches a lot of highs in gunplay and progression, this long-awaited threequel may not leave people instantly begging for more like they were after Borderlands 2.

Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition ha il merito di portare anche su Nintendo Switch la serie Rebellion, ma con un episodio che oramai sente parecchio il peso degli anni. Mancano infatti i miglioramenti al gunplay negli scontri dalla media distanza introdotti solo con il quarto capitolo, gli scenari sono discretamente ampi ma molto lineari nella loro connotazione, l'intelligenza artificiale è piuttosto lacunosa e la formula non si distacca più di tanto da quella degli esordi: piacevole finché si resta nell'ambito ristretto dell'attenta pianificazione e dei tiri dalla distanza, incerta e traballante non appena ci si muove al di fuori di quei confini.

The Surge 2 riprende da dove si è interrotto il precedente e compie notevoli passi avanti sia in termini di qualità sia di esecuzione. Se avete apprezzato l’originale, sarà come tornare a casa dopo una lunga assenza, ma anche per chi non lo conosce, e nonostante permangano alcuni difetti, è un’esperienza che vale la pena di essere giocata e nell’ambito della science fiction è probabilmente il miglior action-RPG in circolazione. Non rivoluziona certo il genere ma rafforza le sue già buone basi di partenza, dimostrando la volontà di Deck 13 di padroneggiare la loro formula con risultati niente male.

The Surge 2 still has the same great combat, satisfying exploration, and a mess of an inventory system that remains cumbersome to navigate. Many of the original game's problems are still here, but small quality of life improvements and a neat new setting make this outing just different enough to be worth a look.

Daemon X Machina is by no means a perfect game. While certainly rough around the edges the game excels at its strengths enough to stand on its own two mechanized feet. I guess the problem with being a niche game is that you will inevitably be taken apart, and have your individual components judged against games that did those well. This happens any time you try to look at the aspects of Daemon such as its hunting and mech building. Daemon X Machina certainly zooms past the “Good” rating for a game, but to push it into “Great” does require some personal taste assessments on the part of the end user. For all my gripes though, hunting a giant drill mech with my friends or going 2v4 against a mercenary squad is, well… nice.

The Sojourn is a peaceful yet thought-provoking puzzle game with beautiful visuals. The only bits of story are told through dioramas, so it isn't spelled out for you. With a sense of wonder and interesting puzzle mechanics, you'll have a great time seeing how clever you truly are.

Code Vein invents as much as it mimics, and while it doesn't pull everything together perfectly, it manages to be an exceptionally fun Souls-like romp through a post-apocalyptic anime world. It's just a shame the developers didn't spend a little more time polishing the game's balance and less time on its unstimulating story.
