Zowel fans van de Ace Attorney reeks als van het grotere visual novel genre zullen smullen met deze knaller van een remake. Ace Attorney Investigations steekt met kop en schouders boven eerdere remakes uit en brengt eindelijk het laatste ontbrekende stukje van de Ace Attorney puzzel naar Europa. Niet alleen krijgen we een intiemere kijk op de populaire aanklager Edgeworth, maar hij wordt ook nog eens begeleid door een ultracharmante set aan personages die prachtig vormgegeven zijn en je van het begin tot het einde zullen doen genieten van weer een ijzersterk deel van de Ace Attorney games.

Devo ammettere che mi dispiace un po’ vedere come l’imminente uscita di BAKERU in Europa stia passando un po’ in sordina. Il titolo pubblicato da Spike Chunsoft è infatti davvero molto piacevole da giocare, con un design dei livelli molto interessante e un sistema di combattimento semplice ma divertentissimo. Inoltre grazie alla presenza di centinaia di oggetti collezionabili il gioco è riuscito a stimolare piacevolmente la parte del mio cervello dedicata ai collect-a-thon, portandomi a girare in lungo e in largo per ogni livello alla ricerca di ogni oggetto nascosto. Certo non manca qualche problemino a livello tecnico, e la curva di difficoltà sarebbe potuta essere decisamente un po’ più ripida, ma nonostante ciò mi sento di consigliare BAKERU a tutti coloro che sono alla ricerca di un’avventura spensierata e intrisa di folklore giapponese e comicità. Non lasciatevelo sfuggire!

BAKERU es como un juego salido de una cápsula del tiempo. Un plataformas 3D lleno de acción que perfectamente podríamos haber disfrutad en la era de PS2, pero que se ha publicado ahora, y me encanta. Tenemos un mundo colorido para explorar, personajes simpáticos a los que seguir y a los mandos es una verdadera delicia. Ojalá tuviéramos más juegos así. Da igual si conocéis Ganbare Goemon o no, tenéis que jugar a BAKERU. Es un juego perfecto para todos los públicos, divertidísimo a los mandos y encima nos va a querer hacer aún más viajar a Japón.

The Casting of Frank Stone is yet another hit from Supermassive Games, delivering an engaging horror story deeply rooted into the lore of Dead of Daylight equally enjoyable by fans of the original game and those with no knowledge of the multiplayer game created by Behaviour Interactive. While its short length and limited gameplay may slightly hinder the experience, the game remains a worthwhile purchase for those who appreciate well-crafted supernatural horror stories.

The Casting of Frank Stone non è un brutto videogioco, è solo un altro prodotto pigro che segue una strada che Supermassive Games ha tracciato, e mai abbandonato, negli ultimi dieci anni. Nemmeno la sceneggiatura lo aiuta poi molto, con personaggi che non brillano e situazioni che non mettono il videogiocatore a disagio, incapaci di fargli provare tensione. È un horror che non fa paura, che non riesce a superare i confini da slasher teen che si è autoimposto, ma che vive in un universo narrativo affascinante, dove c'era margine di manovra per scrivere qualcosa di più consapevole e frizzante.

Los dos juegos recopilados en esta Ace Attorney Investigations Collection son quizá los más distintos de la saga por el hecho de poder ver a nuestro protagonista, Miles Edgeworth, recorriendo los escenarios in situ en busca de pistas, en lugar de hacerlo a través de la distintiva primera persona de una novela visual, lo cual lo hace algo más interactivo de forma similar a las aventuras gráficas occidentales. Además, es la primera vez que podemos disfrutar de forma oficial de la segunda entrega de Investigations, Prosecutor’s Gambit, que nunca llegó a salir de Japón y que, sin embargo, es considerado uno de los grandes juegos de la serie. La remasterización sigue su tónica habitual de las otras colecciones, lo que quiere decir que no se traducen los juegos y la remasterización no termina de representar bien el material original, siendo más recomendable la versión moderna que tiene un mejor tratamiento.

Es un notición poder disfrutar de estos spin-off de Miles Edgeworth, que además de ser de calidad, ofrecen un trabajo de remasterización sustancial. La pega, como siempre, es que no hay traducción al castellano, una decisión quizá tomada por las bajas ventas de la trilogía original en España, y que sin embargo solo propicia menores ventas aún. Más allá de esto, Ace Attorney esconde algunos de sus puntos fuertes en estos spin-offs, y los fans no deberían perdérselos.

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is a solid way to round off the series' remasters on modern platforms. The point-and-click style exploration gives the game a slightly different feel to the rest of the series but both games are still legnthy, engaging affairs with plenty of fun twists and enjoyable dialogue.

The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection finally lets fans have every mainline Ace Attorney game on one platform and in a variety of languages. While AAI1 is one of the franchise’s weaker titles, AAI2 is one of its best with a new, excellent translation to English. The new art style may not appeal to everyone, but thankfully you can go back to the original pixel art. With a gallery containing a ton of art and music, this is yet another badge on Capcom’s lapel.
