Atomfall dimostra l'ambizione e il coraggio di Rebellion nel tentare un deciso cambio di rotta rispetto alla formula di Sniper Elite, mescolando elementi di giochi come Dishonored e Fallout sullo sfondo di un'affascinante ucronia inglese degli anni '60. Nonostante l'esplorazione rappresenti un evidente punto di forza, con ambientazioni esterne affascinanti e un sistema di combattimento a distanza soddisfacente, il gioco soffre di numerose criticità tra combattimento corpo a corpo mal concepito, IA nemica lacunosa, narrazione superficiale e un comparto tecnico datato. Il risultato è un esperimento che, pur concedendo notevole libertà al giocatore, risulta purtroppo imperfetto e disequilibrato nelle sue meccaniche fondamentali.

Ultimately, The First Berserker: Khazan is a good time. Its aesthetic differentiates it from the plethora of ARPG Souls-likes we've become used to, and its brilliant boss fights are engaging enough to entice you through levels that start to feel boring around the mid-way point of the game. But its lacklustre story and bloated, inconsistent mechanics hinder what could have been a better game if it were more refined.

WWE 2K25 è sicuramente la migliore simulazione di wrestling disponibile al momento, prendendo il posto del suo predecessore, da cui eredita sostanzialmente tutto. La modalità Showcase di quest'anno è meno interessante della scorsa edizione, ma continua comunque a funzionare, così come tutto il resto del pacchetto, presentato senza grossi cambiamenti. Per gli appassionati di wrestling e videogiochi, la serie si conferma un punto di riferimento (nonché l'unico disponibile sul mercato), ma il modello annuale scricchiola sempre di più, soprattutto quando il gioco spinge molto anche sulle microtransazioni – come fatto quest'anno.

MLB The Show 25 si conferma una delle migliori serie sportive attualmente disponibili. Per un franchise annuale non è sempre semplice giustificare l'investimento degli appassionati, ma San Diego Studio riesce ogni anno a fare molto di più del semplice compitino. Questa volta, in particolare, si distingue per il lavoro svolto nell'apportare nuova linfa alle principali modalità di gioco (Road To The Show e Diamond Dynasty su tutte). Apprezzabili anche i cambiamenti in battuta e nella fase difensiva, mentre sul fronte grafico c’è margine per migliorare (il motore di gioco inizia a faticare). In attesa di raggiungere la "perfezione", però, questa rappresenta la migliore simulazione di baseball disponibile sul mercato.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a masterclass in action combat, delivering thrilling boss fights, diverse level design, and tight mechanics that rival the genre’s best. While the narrative and side characters falter in depth, the fluid progression, customizable skill trees, and satisfying difficulty curve make this a standout soul-like experience—even for players unfamiliar with the Dungeon Fighter Online universe.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls features amazing, fast-paced fighting and realistic character designs despite balancing issues and a grind-heavy unlocking system. Apart from some of the issues, it’s a thrilling fighting game for fans.

Atomfall gefällt mir vor allem wegen seines frischen Szenarios und dem Willen, ein Open-World-Abenteuer der kompakteren Sorte zu erzählen. Dass das zentrale Mysterium dabei lange spannend bleibt (wenngleich einige Antworten dann doch erstaunlich einfach ausfallen) und sich das Spiel trotz der kurzen, aber erfreulich weit gefächerten Hauptquest zu keinem Zeitpunkt klein oder hastig anfühlt, rechne ich den Machern von Rebellion hoch an. Auf der anderen Seite stehen eine nicht allzu aufregende Action-Seite und ein allzu durchschnittliches Tun-und-machen, sowie die Schwierigkeiten bei der Spielerführung beziehungsweise möglichen Bugs und Blocker, die Rebellion dringend überarbeiten sollte. Atomfall ist kein Fallout – das stimmt im Guten wie im Schlechten. Aber es ist ein eigenes, nettes verqueres kleines Mid-Price-Ding, dem man beizeiten eine Chance geben kann.

Al igual que un cielo inglés, resulta quizá demasiado gris en varios aspectos, pero se notan sus buenas intenciones y las ganas de contar una historia misteriosa e interesante. No te entusiasmará, pero te hará pasar una buena aventura.
