In definitiva, senza troppo rammarico, possiamo dire che da Milestone ci saremmo aspettati molto di più. Il titolo risulta carente sotto molti aspetti ritenuti di primaria importanza in un racing game, su tutti la povertà dell’offerta in single player. Il titolo risulta inoltre sottotono se rapportato ai diversi concorrenti presenti sul mercato le cui caratteristiche si pongono su livelli più alti rispetto al titolo testato. Peccato, perché le aspettative attorno a V8 Raging erano davvero tante, a partire da una fisica e un realismo che, a detta dei programmatori , sarebbero stati curatissimi. Ma non è tutto fumo, giocare a V8 Racing risulta comunque divertente ed il modello di guida, seppur migliorabile, riesce a catturare l’interesse degli amanti dei racing game. A chi consigliamo dunque Superstar V8 Racing? Sicramente ai fan della lega Superstar (se esistono), a coloro che hanno consumato il dvd di Forza Motorsport 2 e di GTR e sono ancora desiderosi di scendere in pista e, in generale, a tutti gli appassionati di giochi di corse senza troppe pretese. Siamo certi che il prodotto distribuito Black Bean saprà regalare ore di puro e sano divertimento in attesa che Milestone ci regali un capolavoro degno del suo nome.

Transformers 2: La Vendetta Del Caduto è un tie in decisamente mediocre in quasi tutti i suoi aspetti: ad iniziare dal comparto tecnico, passando per il gameplay e la longevità, sono pochissimi gli elementi in grado di elevare il titolo di Activision dalla massa di software privo di un benchè minimo spunto in grado di poter catturare il giocatore ed indurlo all'acquisto. Potrebbe suscitare interesse solo nei fan sfegatati degli storici robottoni tornati recentemente al successo, ma anche per loro ci sarà ben poco materiale da mettere sul piatto della bilancia.

Mit gerade mal drei recycelten Karten im Frostbite-Gewand sowie drei Kämpfer-Klassen erscheint der Preis von 1200 MS-Punkten bzw. knapp 15 Euro gemessen am Umfang zwar enorm happig, aber verdammt: Battlefield 1943 macht auch in dieser abgespeckten Version enorm viel Spaß! Vor allem, wenn man gemeinsam als Team oder im Squad mit Freunden zur Checkpunkt-Eroberung loszieht, dabei zwischendurch im Flieger oder Panzer Platz nimmt und die unterhaltsame Zerstörungsorgie ringsum genießt. Dieses „Battlefield light“ ist ideal für alle, die schon immer mal in die Serie reinschnuppern wollten, keinen Wert auf große Kampagnen legen und sich einfach nur ab und zu auf den wenigen, aber dafür toll designten Karten austoben wollen. Sollte DICE die bestehenden Verbindungsprobleme, die den Zugang zu den Online-Matches bisher zum reinen Glücksspiel werden lassen, nicht in naher Zukunft lösen, halten wir uns die Möglichkeit offen, die Wertung gegebenenfalls anzupassen.

It goes without saying that this game is for hardcore simmers and it doesn't do much to lower the barrier of entry for newcomers. With that said, Rise of Flight has, hands down, some of the best flight modeling and graphics of any sim I've played. Given the lack of good flight sims, that alone is more than enough to justify its presence on my hard drive. But as impressive as the overall visuals and flying are, the campaign system and plane roster just feel more than a little anemic. When compared to the wide range of content in games like IL-2 Sturmovik or Fighter Ace 3.5, it's hard to feel that Rise of Flight is holding back a bit too much, especially for forty bucks.

The amount of fun you do or don’t have with Mega Man Star Force 3 is going to be directly dependant on a number of things. First off, fans of the series are going to eat this one up, as the continued online offering and added depth and customization with the noise system makes for far more user-based strategy throughout. If the continued rehash issue hasn’t gotten to you yet, it probably won’t. For others – myself included – Star Force 3 is another in a long line of titles that just don’t seem to evolve at a fast enough rate. I played it back in 2001, left the series in 2003/04, and it’s now 2009 and I feel like I haven’t missed a thing. For those that are totally new to the franchise though, combine what you’re getting here with the optimism and originality found in our original Battle Network GBA review. Not much has changed, and while that means the core audience will be ever-dwindling as people step away from it, it also means there’s still one hell of an entertaining game to be found. Weighed against its predecessors, Star Force 3 is the best of the trilogy thus far on DS. Whether that matters or not is entirely up to you…

Ce petit remake de Battlefield 1942 fait exactement tout ce qu'on attendait de lui. Il nous offre en effet la possibilité de participer à des batailles endiablées, qui se situent à mi-chemin entre bourrinisme primaire et approche tactique. Profitant de surcroît d'une ambiance réussie ainsi que d'une réalisation plus qu'honorable pour un titre téléchargeable, le soft nous promet de longues heures de combats acharnés, pour peu que l'on trouve un serveur...
