This is more or less everything we wanted from a Boom Blox sequel and can't recommend it enough.

Those of us that crave these types of games can probably look past the jokes that are trying too hard and the inconsistent framerate to just soak up some classic pointing and clicking. Telltale is one of very few developers making these games anymore and they do it very well. It's too bad these adventures couldn't have been optimized for play with an Xbox 360 controller, much like Wallace & Gromit was. An analog stick is not an ideal point and click tool. The slow pace of these games isn't for everyone, but if you're a fan you'll probably get your fix with Sam & Max Save the World. Each episode will last you a few hours, so with around 20-25 hours of gameplay here for $20 this is a pretty good deal for those of us who have the patience.

Ce portage de Pulse offre une bouffée d'air frais au catalogue PS2, mais quelques améliorations et un contenu supplémentaire auraient été les bienvenues, surtout après un an et demi d'attente. Les problèmes de framerate et les chargements trop longs gachent un peu le plaisir, pour au final donner l'impression d'avoir entre les mains une copie baclée de la version PSP.

L'armée américaine devrait se cantonner à ce qu'elle sait faire et laisser le développement de jeux vidéo aux seuls professionnels du secteur, car elle ne sait manifestement pas encore comment concevoir un jeu, malgré 3 tentatives. Voici donc un petit conseil pour elle : avant de sortir un jeu, on le teste et on le débugue. Sinon on expose les joueurs à de grosses désillusions.

Très allégé, sur le plan du contenu, par rapport à la version Wii, Indiana Jones et le Sceptre des Rois sur PS2 reste un jeu d'action et d'aventure agréable à parcourir pourvu que vous ne vous montriez pas trop exigeant, notamment en matière de scénario. Les fans de l'aventurier au fouet et au chapeau se laisseront sans doute tenter, les autres peuvent passer sans regret.

Stellt euch vor, es gibt Wii MotionPlus und keiner merkt’s. Wo ist diese Präzision, die das Tennisspiel noch „authentischer“ machen sollte? Jedenfalls steckt sie nicht in dem kleinen Aufsatz, wenn man Grand Slam Tennis damit spielt. Bis auf ein wenig Handgelenkanimation hier und Schnitt da ist es nämlich vollkommen egal, ob man mit der alten oder der aufgestockten Remote spielt. Man spürt mit der neuen Technik allerhöchstens einen Hauch der Verbesserung. Und wenn das Spielgefühl nicht klar von Wii MotionPlus profitiert, wenn die „vollkommene Kontrolle“ über den Schläger nicht dazu führt, dass ich immer gezielt in die gewünschte Richtung schlage, wozu ist es dann gut? Dieses grafisch sterile Tennis macht nur zwischendurch Spaß, wenn mal etwas klappt, aber es lässt letztlich immer noch so viel Präzision vermissen, dass man sich fragen muss, ob bewegungssensitives Filzballgefuchtel überhaupt sinnvoll ist. Es liegen qualitative Welten zwischen dem Spaß und dem Spielfluss, den eine klassische Steuerung in Virtua Tennis 3 vermittelt und dieser Bewegungsbeta mit Kalorienverbrauchszähler. Nur wenn man sich reinsteigert und Zufälle als Können interpretiert und nur, wenn man die automatische Bewegung der Stars einstellt, kann man einigermaßen unterhalten werden. Erst dann ergeben sich durchaus dynamische Ballwechsel – auch wenn man viele der Schläge gar nicht so anbringen wollte. Aber nicht Wii MotionPlus, sondern die auf Knopfdruck (!) auslösbaren Stopps und Lobs sorgen dann für Abwechslung und retten den Spielspaß zusammen mit der Karriere sowie dem guten Online-Modus letztlich auf ein gerade noch befriedigendes Niveau. Wann kann man auf Nintendos Konsole schon mal Sport über das Internet erleben? Hier wird also mehr hinsichtlich Umfang und Multiplayer geboten als noch in TopSpin für Wii. Unterm Strich ist Grand Slam Tennis aber den Beweis schuldig geblieben, den Electronic Arts im Handbuch verspricht: „Wenn du das neue Wii MotionPlus besitzt, (…) kannst du die präzisesten Tennisschläge erleben, die es in einem Videospiel jemals gab.“ Das ist ganz großes PR-Kino. Und natürlich vollkommener Blödsinn.

Grand Slam Tennis è un’ottima simulazione di tennis, indipendentemente dal Wii MotionPlus. L’offerta ludica è ricca, il livello di sfida è adeguato, il gameplay divertente e profondo, ed il tutto è supportato da una realizzazione tecnica che non sarà certamente eccelsa, ma è di sicuro funzionale e gradevole. Non può essere però considerato come il banco di prova definitivo della nuova periferica Nintendo: non perché non se ne vedano le potenzialità, che anzi sono palesi (la stessa EA aveva dichiarato che il MotionPlus in certe fasi risultava essere anche troppo sensibile), ma perché non è detto che simili (se non gli stessi) risultati non si sarebbero potuti raggiungere con un lavoro migliore sul Wiimote. Non si pretende la riproduzione perfetta 1:1 (non in questo tipo di giochi almeno), viste le difficoltà che ne potrebbero derivare, ma di certo una maggiore dimostrazione delle possibilità future. Per quello, forse, bisognerà aspettare Wii Sports Resort. Resta il fatto che Grand Slam Tennis è consigliato ai patiti dello sport digitale, ed assicura una buona dose di divertimento ad un prezzo che, considerata la presenza del WiiMotion Plus in Bundle, appare decisamente competitivo.

It might seem slight, if not slightly ridiculous, but there's something utterly joyous about Let's Tap – from its deliriously captivating aesthetic (frankly worth the asking price alone) and stripped down arcade fundamentals to its immediately accessible, and surprisingly robust, control scheme. All of which add up to make one of the most downright entertaining and refreshing party experiences available on the Wii. No, it's not a game that's going to keep you enthralled for hours at a time but it's been expertly honed for occasional impromptu multiplayer giggles – and given the sub-20-quid price point in most retail outlets, you can hardly ask for more.

Rocket Riot is simple arcade fun candy coated with brilliant pixel art. The destructible environments allow for some highly enjoyable chaos in both single- and multiplayer modes. Dual-stick shooters have risen in popularity in recent years, and this one has enough personality and charm to set it apart from the pack.
