Speed Racer est une bonne pioche sur DS comme il peut l'être sur Wii. Avec ses qualités et de bonnes idées qui rendent le gameplay suffisamment varié, il parvient à se faire une petite place sur la console portable de Nintendo. Pas exempt de tout reproche (bande-son médiocre, redondance des modes de jeu, répétitivité des courses), il saura s'attirer la sympathie des joueurs amateurs de bonnes sensations de vitesse.

I'm always weary of movies turn videogames as the publishers and developers involved seldom do the original property justice. But here we have Speed Racer for Wii and believe it or not, it's a surprisingly adept and entertaining racing game. The fundamental gameplay mechanics are strong, the control well done, and the visual presentation more or less perfectly in tune with the film. I think maker Sidhe Interactive definitely hit upon a winning formula, even if it is as straightforward as can be; there's no real storyline, just racing. The game's got a few problems, though -- its selection of tracks is disappointingly thin and the AI never relents, even when it should. If you're a die-hard Racer fan or newly in love with the Wachowski brothers movie, you might want to check this racer out. But if you're looking for a long-lasting game full of diversity, this is unfortunately not it -- a truth harder to forgive when you consider that WB's title retails for full price.

Inquiets après la sortie du décevant Pop Hits 2, les fans de Singstar n'ont plus qu'à se faire hara-kiri en accueillant ce troisième opus en dessous de tout. En 2008, Singstar, c'est définitivement sur PS3 que ça se passe et plus ailleurs. Précisons quand même que cette note est subjective et qu'elle peut éventuellement être rehaussée dans le cas où l'on adhère à la tracklist.

Actionloop Twist, fornisce un gameplay solido ed una nutrita serie di modalità in cui cimentarsi regalando un divertimento duraturo ad un massimo di 4 giocatori. Si tratta dunque di un validissimo puzzle game, a patto però di accettare il sistema di controllo adottato dagli sviluppatori e dimenticando che sarebbe stato gradito avere a disposizione qualche “naturale” alternativa; a questo difetto va aggiunta la totale mancanza della componente on-line, elemento ormai quasi necessario per un puzzle game.

Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa may have never legitimately come to the United States while the NES was the pinnacle of American gaming, but it's finally arrived now, for real, for the Virtual Console. It's not a sensational title by any means, but it is decent, wholesome fun with a colorful kiddie theme and should appeal to fans of old-school 8-bit platformers. Playing it today makes me wish that I had actually rented it when I first saw it on the rack 20 years ago, even though it was wrapped up in that fake Baby Mario label – but that mistake of the past is easily erased now with the investment of 600 Wii Points. (One extra buck, of course, because this is one of Nintendo's "Import" releases.)

In a crowded field of throwback arcade shooters on XBLA, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 just doesn’t stand out. The nostalgia of the Commando name isn’t enough to carry this one beyond the ordinary, and the lackluster graphics and generic art style don't help either. As arcade shooters go, Commando 3 isn’t a bad game, but it's just nothing special. Overall, we can't help but be disappointed.

Reprenant un concept qui a fait ses preuves depuis belle lurette, Everybody's Golf 2 parvient pourtant à nous émerveiller encore par sa fraîcheur et sa jouabilité. Plus complexe que son design manga coloré ne le laisse supposer, cette simulation de golf séduira tout autant le joueur exigeant que le néophyte. Et si sa durée de vie était déjà énorme en solo, elle devient désormais phénoménale grâce à l'ajout d'un mode online très complet.
