Difficile d'émettre un avis objectif sur GRID. Le fait est qu'il manque cruellement de personnalité et qu'il cherche un peu trop à convenir à tous les types de public. Un choix qui s'avérera cependant payant dans la mesure où les sensations sont très bonnes, quelles que soient vos aspirations. Ceux qui ont apprécié DIRT aimeront GRID à coup sûr.

Although the price is low and the graphics have been given an HD overhaul, Warlords feels dated and tired, and there's not much here to keep gamers interested for long. Warlords is a classic, to be sure, but its transition to XBLA leaves us shrugging our shoulders.

It’s too bad that the conversion of Quake Wars didn’t go smoother. The gameplay, while fun on PC, was clearly better-suited for the world of a keyboard and mouse combo than a controller. Things like item placement and orientation (facing your turret in the proper direction), aiming, weapon selection and the general speed of the gameplay are simply better handled on PC than they are here. If you’ve already spent hours going up against either the Strogg or GDF on your computer then there’s really no reason to venture back into the battle on Xbox 360. If you haven’t played Quake Wars yet, well there’s really nothing to recommend here that isn’t done better (and at a cheaper price tag) on the PC.

Race Driver GRID è un prodotto completo, molto curato e decisamente ben realizzato che, proprio per le caratteristiche di arcade - simulazione, si rivolge ad un ampia fascia di pubblico. Estremamente realistico sia a livello grafico che sonoro - sbalorditiva è la realizzazione tecnico - fisica dei danni subiti dalla carrozzeria degli autoveicoli, raggiunge l'obiettivo prefissato di immergere il giocatore nel mondo delle corse automobilistiche, avviluppandolo, solleticandolo ed accarezzandolo tramite il sapiente utilizzo di un motore grafico ottimamente realizzato (ed ottimizzato) ed una serie interminabile di opzioni per quanto concerne autoveicoli, modalità di gioco, circuiti e personalizzazione dell'esperienza di gioco. Unica nota dolente è rappresentata dal sopra ricordato sistema di controllo non esente da difetti che benchè correggibile, risulta decisamente fastidioso e non consente a GRID di raggiungere la perfezione.

When the book is closed on UEFA Euro 2008 people will likely remember it as the final UEFA game to make its way onto the PS2 (we’re guessing). There are a few nice additions here and there but for the most part the entire game is old hat. Portions of the game are starting to show significant age in the way players move and react to one another. The same goes for the framerate which could have been bolstered down a bit more prior to release. All that withstanding, UEFA Euro 2008 is still a fun and enjoyable outing that enthusiasts of the sport will certainly enjoy provided they haven’t seen the current-gen versions yet.

City Connection isn’t exactly the end-all/ be-all, but it somewhat entertaining for what it is -- a bone thrown to a rather niche audience.

La torre degli specchi presenta tante luci quante ombre. E dove la luce è più fulgida, la ombre non possono che essere più cupe. Il prodotto appare un esperimento da parte della software house, che si può dire riuscito a metà, proprio a causa della scarsa convinzione mostrata in fase di realizzazione. L'idea di fondo, seppur atipica e lontana dai soliti RPG (il gioco è in fin dei conti sconsigliato ai puristi di questo genere) si presenta valida, soprattutto per la sua capacità di dare un senso alle peculiarità del sistema di controllo del Wii, creando un battle system coinvolgente e divertente. La realizzazione di trama, grafica e sonoro regge tranquillamente il peso del brand che il gioco porta con sè. Purtroppo, gli elementi da RPG, e di conseguenza la longevità, appaiono appena accennati, e risultano incapaci di rendere giustizia al blasone della serie Dragon Quest. I presupposti per un progetto di spessore ci sono, speriamo che Square-Enix non abbandoni l'idea, ma la sviluppi con più convinzione.

High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker edition è un gioco assolutamente consigliato agli amanti dei casinò e dei giochi d’azzardo. La componente online, accompagnata da un buon single player, rende il titolo longevo e completo senza tralasciare alcun aspetto importante di questa disciplina. Rischio, fortuna, esuberanza e ricchezza non mancheranno ad ogni tavolo e creare vere proprie comunità di amici e giocatori non sarà assolutamente difficile. Sentite la febbre del poker che sale dentro di voi? Che aspettate allora, sedetevi al tavolo ed incrociate le dita.
