Endlich mal wieder ein Shooter, der nach eher mittelmäßigen Vorstellungen wie BlackSite oder Conflict: Denied Ops wieder mehr Spaß macht! Zwar nerven auch in der Kampagne von Frontlines manche KI-Aussetzer von Freund und Feind, doch sorgen vor allem die bombastische Soundkulisse sowie actionreichen Gefechte zu Fuß oder in Vehikeln für ein intensives Erlebnis. Doch bevor man sich versieht, ist der Solo-Einsatz auch schon vorbei, der leider die Möglichkeiten des frischen Dronen-Konzepts nicht voll ausschöpfen kann und beim Missionsdesign etwas mehr Abwechslung vertragen hätte. Im Vergleich zum PC-Vorbild enttäuscht zudem die technische Umsetzung auf der 360, die zumindest in HD von Slowdowns, Pop-Ups, schwächeren Texturen sowie z.T. fiesen Clippingfehlern geplagt wird. Hier hätte man deutlich mehr erwarten können! Trotz unterhaltsamer Kampagne trumpft Frontlines aber erst im Mehrspielermodus richtig auf: Obwohl es bisher nur einen Spielmodus gibt, sorgen die interessante Kombination aus Klassen und Rollen sowie gut designte Karten für coole Multiplayer-Action! Wer also ohnehin primär online zocken will und keine Solo-Kampagne braucht, kann locker ein paar Prozent auf unsere Wertung dazu rechnen, denn im Mehrspielermodus ist Frontlines ein Hit!

Frontlines: Fuel of War is clearly deeply dependent on its gameplay to bring home the bacon. Its single-player performs well enough to get players to work their way through for the achievement points it’s the multiplayer that will hook some FPS fanatics. If you can forget about the fact that you’ve been playing this style game for years with the Battlefield franchise then Frontlines will hook you for some time with its gargantuan battles, but for most Fuel of War will likely be too generic to truly sink their teeth into.

En premier lieu, on apprécie que Kaos studio ait fait l'effort d'intégrer une campagne solo certes pas mémorable mais décente à ce qui reste un jeu axé sur le multijoueur. Pour le reste, Frontlines se pose comme une alternative correcte à CoD 4 ou Halo 3 sur Xbox 360 puisqu'il propose un gameplay orienté teamplay et objectifs encore peu présent sur la machine, mais il aura du mal à faire face à l'arrivée prochaine de Quake Wars.

Malheureusement, dans ce domaine le jeu doit faire face à une plus rude concurrence que sur console. Trop proche de Battlefield, il a du mal à se démarquer de ce dernier et encore moins d'un Quake Wars si ce n'est en se montrant plus accessible pour un public plus large.

Sans s'écarter une seule seconde du chemin emprunté par le premier ZX, Advent parvient néanmoins à rendre la formule plus digeste, plus riche et plus jouable grâce à une foultitude de petits détails bien sentis. Pour couronner le tout, le jeu profite en plus d'une réalisation de grande classe et d'une mise en scène dynamique. Seule véritable ombre au tableau : la durée de vie, qui semblera peut-être ridicule aux aficionados de la série, mais encore faut-il avoir le courage de rechercher tous les secrets dissimulés dans le jeu. Bref, voilà une petite cartouche bourrée d'énergie et de challengse que nous recommandons chaudement d'essayer.

If you’ve already taken Bully for a spin on PS2, Scholarship Edition isn’t going to be worth the extra $50 you’d plop down for motion control and new missions. About 95% of the content is identical, and Rockstar is packaging this one to both Wii and 360 as a perfect product for those that are late to the party, and have yet to experience what Bully has to offer. For those that haven’t made the rounds at Bullworth Academy, you’re missing out, as Bully is a charming, entertaining experience, and far more lighthearted than it has been made out to be. Mini-games and classes are actually educational and fun, the T rating ensures that it’s toned down in the language department, but Bully still has an overwhelming amount of entertaining content, and Scholarship Edition is another step above what we saw on PS2. The graphical update from the PS2 isn’t as much as we would have liked to see on Wii (the two versions look nearly identical), but the motion control is entertaining, the new classes are well made, and multiplayer is a nice distraction from the main game. We’d still recommend Godfather and Scarface over Rockstar’s latest offering (as long as you can stomach the M rating), but in no way should that sway players from picking up Bully and enjoying the hell out of one of Wii’s deepest offerings. We gave the original Bully an 8.9 two years ago, and the game still holds up today as a great open world offering. Wii-makes are never the most impressive outings on our side, as it’s obvious everyone is trying to make a quick buck off Nintendo’s success, but in the case of Bully, all is forgiven, as it’s simply a blast to play.

La première moitié du jeu (les deux premiers mondes) résument tout ce qui a fait le succès de la série : des niveaux vastes et non linéaires, de l’action frénétique et une réalisation exemplaire. La seconde moitié est cependant beaucoup moins inspirée : le monde glacier est particulièrement fade et horripilant, et risque de décourager bien des joueurs. Quel dommage !

Bully: Scholarship Edition is a solid translation of the original PS2 game. It gives a little extra, but is at its core the same game. Though it has some limitations, particularly in the lack of depth of the social structure, there are many other great aspects to enjoy. And really, there is no other game like Bully on 360. If you haven't figured it out yet, Bully is a great game. Go out and buy it (for a mere $50); you won't regret the purchase.

Turning Point : Fall Of Liberty ne parvient pas à sortir des sentiers battus malgré l'approche relativement originale qu'il tentait pourtant d'adopter. Usant et abusant de mécanismes éculés, le titre n'arrive jamais à mettre en valeur ses toutes petites idées. Du coup, il ne reste plus au final qu'un FPS classique, affreusement dirigiste, et plombé par de sérieux problèmes de prise en main. Un titre à éviter.

Ask any Lost fan a question about the show and you are likely to be drawn into a long-winded conversation about The Others, polar bears and how hot Sawyer looks with his shirt off. Ask someone who doesn't watch the show why people seem obsessed with Lost and they will likely shrug, roll their eyes and say, "Who gives a damn?" If you are of the former camp -- the kind who dreams of one day crashing on the Island just so you can personally solve its mysteries -- then you should probably rent (not buy) Via Domus. If you're in the latter category, turn away. Not a damn thing will make sense to you if you haven't watched at least the first two seasons of Lost. And there's no "game" here to make it worth playing unless you are a fan. Even then, it's only good for the final minute. At least it only takes five hours to reach the conclusion.
