Il est vrai que l'IA n'est pas au top du top, il est vrai que si on court bêtement la durée de vie chute, que le système de résurrection est un peu trop laxiste, il est blablabla... Quelques arguments qui ne valent que si on s'obstine à comparer Bioshock aux autres FPS en lui refusant le fait que, à l'image de son ancêtre System Shock, il vaut pour lui seul. Alors au diable les critères idiots, froids et objectifs, Bioshock est envoûtant, une pièce d'art qui se savoure non seulement comme un excellent jeu mais même comme un excellent bouquin narrant la déchéance d'une utopie. Et ça, c'est encore trop rare.

Eye Of The North est une extension longue, prenante, distillant un contenu riche et varié au fil de la progression du joueur. De quoi renouveler une dernière fois l'expérience Guild Wars, et de belle manière. Evidemment tout n'est pas parfait, on était par exemple en droit d'attendre de nouvelles classes de personnages. Mais GWEN reste une réussite, qui comblera les joueurs ayant déjà atteint un haut niveau et fait le tour des précédents opus.

Malgré quelques originalités, on a souvent une impression de déjà-vu en jouant à Medieval II : Total War Kingdoms. Mais comme le jeu de base était bon, ceux qui l'ont apprécié devraient aussi aimer l'extension. The Creative Assembly poursuit donc avec succès sa série stratégique, en attendant un Empire : Total War qu'on espère un peu plus inspiré.

Un coup dans l'eau pour cet épisode DS de Dynasty Warriors, qui ne réussit aucunement à faire honneur à la série sur ce nouveau support, et qui ne cherche d'ailleurs même pas à exploiter les talents de la console. Un titre à oublier très vite, même pour les inconditionnels de la saga de Koei.

At the end of the day, Vegas Stakes neither turns in a loss or a significant gain – it simply is what it is, a casino sim with a fair variety of different gambling games and a bit of non-player character interaction thrown in as an aside. But as the first game of its type to hit the Virtual Console, it also serves as a potential proof of concept and call to action for digital download developers working on Wii. With WiiWare on its way next year, wouldn't a simple collection of casino games like this be a great, easy-to-execute idea? Update this concept with 16:9 and 480p graphics, introduce pointer control with the Wii Remote and sell it in the Shop for a reasonable pricetag of Points – it could be very lucrative for the developer who gets to market with it first. After all, there's real money to be made in offering gamers a way to gamble fake money away. And the current competition on Wii isn't in any condition to really compete.

The Nintendo DS and its tiny screens may not be the best outlet for the classic Worms experience, but THQ and Two Tribes managed to bring it all together for the handheld gamers. Worms: Open Warfare 2 is a massive upgrade to the original game, so much so that it really should have been its own brand instead of "Number Two" of the 2005 release. Awesome single player campaigns, fantastic multiplayer support, and some unexpected treats specific to the unique features of the handheld. It absolutely trounces the first game in every category and finally gives the Nintendo DS the true Worms experience.

At £30, it's a bit pricey for what is essentially something not much different from the last game, but with online play, Worms Open Warfare 2 has to go down as the series' definitive version.
