When you get the core of a game just right, everything else flows naturally. Wave Race 64's technical achievement in water effects was so spot-on that the racing gameplay taking place upon those waves had to be spectacular – and it was. This game was a blast to play back in the earliest days of the N64's life cycle, and it's still just as fun today on the Wii. You'd be well served to invest 1000 Wii Points to download Wave Race 64 – and let's hope sales of this title end up being high enough to catch Nintendo's notice. With the motion-sensing capabilities of the Wiimote and the innovations sure to be introduced by the recently revealed Wii Balance Board, a new-generation update of the franchise would be exciting to see.

Elite Beat Agents is a game that anyone with a sense of rhythm can enjoy and will keep you entertained for short bursts or more lengthy hardcore sessions.

Okay, so saying this game is the best Shrek title on the DS isn't a big compliment. Sure the last two Shrek titles have been awful, and it's likely that people are a little wary of a green ogre game now, but that's why it's refreshing that Vicarious Visions has gone beyond that most developers do with these types of games. Shrek the Third has a lot of the humor and charm of the film series, a unique plot, innovative controls and a rather neat multiplayer feature. It suffers from some of those controls being hard to use and ultimately still being a short movie game that is too easy for anyone that isn't in elementary school. Shrek the Third may not be the prince of the Nintendo DS, but thankfully it's not a smelly green monster either.

The Settlers vive di rendita: una meccanica profonda ed indovinata, per quanto gestita in modo quasi arcaico, gli permette di considerarsi un gioco degno di questo nome; purtroppo, però, risulta inaccettabile un porting da un titolo di più di 10 anni fa senza ritocchi estetici o miglioramenti tecnici. Questo inficia la valutazione, che non può che essere negativa a fronte di un impegno assolutamente risibile per la realizzazione di un videogioco che, per il suo valore storico e per la genialità delle meccaniche di base, avrebbe meritato ben altro trattamento.

All in all, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition feels like a hardened old-skool title wrapped up in some lavish next-gen visuals that have unfortunately lost much of their sparkle in the port to PS3.
