Dans la droite lignée de Galactic Civilizations 2, Space Empires V n'arrive pourtant pas à faire oublier son illustre concurrent. Certes, le petit nouveau dispose d'un mode multijoueur, mais son interface d'une lourdeur rare lui porte préjudice et lui empêche de prétendre à une note plus élevée.

It's a bit of an oddball to players familiar with other Mario games, sure, but the fact that it's so different from the rest of the series is what makes Super Mario Bros. 2 such an entertaining game. If you want a fun but unusual Mario experience, look no further - this is pretty much the textbook definition of it.

The Red Star è un ibrido tra il modello classico ed il videogame moderno. Uno sparatutto a scorrimento a metà strada in ogni suo profilo, immediato nel profilo giocabile, tralasciato nella trama, curato a sufficienza nella grafica e nel sonoro, ma monco del doppiaggio e della varietà di gioco, caratteristiche ormai portanti nel panorama videoludico odierno. Di conseguenza, l’attesissimo titolo di Take Two si presenta con una facciata simile a quelli dei videogames moderni, ma con un’anima vecchia di decenni. Aiutato dal suo basso prezzo di vendita, davvero ottimo se comparato ai momenti di sano divertimento che il gioco, prima di annoiare, può offrirvi, The Red Star è un acquisto che non deluderà gli amanti dell’immediatezza e dell’azione. E, nonostante i suoi limiti, quei momenti potrebbero essere piacevolmente goduti anche da coloro che non si ritengono particolari estimatori del genere arcade.

Heatseeker était à l'origine un projet destiné à la seule PSP, et c'est malheureusement sur ce support qu'il se révèle le plus décevant. La faute à une maniabilité presque bridée qui gâche la nervosité des combats et rend l'aventure largement moins prenante.

So Touch the Dead lacks any sort of originality, but it definitely has a place in the Nintendo DS line-up. It's a straight-forward, fun, intense action game that does a decent job of what it sets out to do...even if that's just to steal the House of the Dead idea before Sega decides to port it officially itself.
