Gurumin is one of those pleasant surprises that you wouldn't necessarily expect from its childlike appearance. A ton of difficulty levels, loads of accessories and costumes for Parin and lots of mini-games await players that are willing to give this game a chance. While you'll have to put up with load times and a sometimes questionable camera, this is still an excellent title that should appeal to action fans.

God Hand è un esercizio di stile, non ci sono altri modi per descriverlo. Relativamente ai picchiaduro, si tratta di un gioiello senza mezzi termini, che introduce concetti che speriamo vengano ripresi e rielaborati anche sulle console di nuova generazione. Il sistema di personalizzazione degli attacchi, in particolare, rappresenta un po' la "modalità carriera" del gioco, con gli acquisti che è possibile effettuare tra uno stage e l'altro, con la possibilità di incrementare i guadagni passando per il casinò (con i vari poker, black jack e slot machine a disposizione...) o scommettendo sulle corse dei chihuahua. Le cutscene da sole valgono il prezzo del prodotto, ma c'è ben altro a giustificare la spesa: otto livelli divisi in varie sezioni, extra sbloccabili, numerosissimi nemici, livello di sfida d'altri tempi. L'ultimo regalo che Mikami e Inaba fanno ai possessori di PS2 è qualcosa di davvero prezioso, che attinge al significato vero del videogioco con l'unico cruccio di non badare ai dettagli.

At this stage in the PlayStation 2's life we're seeing games that do more with the hardware than we ever thought possible. Earache does the same but in reverse.

Just as was the case in 2005, there's a lot to like in The Warriors. The gameplay is varied, the combat is deep, and the presentational and multiplayer extras add plenty of brownie points. Of course, the biggest issue for some many be the game's extreme level of violence (expect lots of blood, swearing, and street-level combat). However, given the source material, that shouldn't be a surprise. Principals aside, the more obvious snag for PSP users is the clunkier camera and defensive controls. But even with those hurdles, The Warriors is still a highly entertaining brawler and a worthy addition to most action fans' portable library.

Fuzion Frenzy 2 is a rather uninspired mini-game collection that simply doesn't have the same appeal as the likes of Mario Party or the more recent Rayman Raving Rabbids.
