Battlegrounds is a nice change of pace for hardcore gamers because it combines elements from fighters and RTS games but I'm not sure if your average gaming schmo will be able to get into it. The interface and control is simple enough but the depth of this sucker will likely be lost on most. I can't help but thinking the best of what this game had to offer was left in the development studio somewhere for fear of overwhelming gamers who might not be ready for all it had to offer. It seems to me that it barely offers enough to get the attention of serious gamers but hardcore Magic The Gathering fans will likely want to stick to the card game that already know and love. We give Secret Level a ton of credit, however, for doing the obvious and including Xbox Live play in a game that demands it. Most developers would've just skipped it altogether and offered some lame excuse about user base or something.

On se demande souvent quels sont les éléments nécessaires à faire un bon jeu. Quels qu'ils soient, Ubi a su les trouver pour rendre au prince toute sa splendeur et permettre à la série d'effacer l'affront du troisième volet.

La série des LFP Manager se bonifie avec le temps. Cette nouvelle mouture bénéficie bien sûr de la mise à jour de sa base de données, mais aussi de légères améliorations d'interface et d'IA, du nouveau moteur de FIFA Football 2004 pour la retransmission des matches et de la possibilité d'exporter vos équipes dans ce dernier jeu. Si vous êtes novice dans le domaine de la gestion footballistique ou que vous possédez FIFA 2004, LFP est sûrement un bon choix, mais les puristes lui préféreront peut-être le titre d'Eidos "L'entraîneur" un peu plus complet mais aussi plus difficile à maîtriser...

Beyond Good & Evil est un jeu à part, un de ces jeux dont on ne ressort pas indemne. Son très bon scénario, son univers magique et enchanteur, sa musique de très bonne qualité nous transportent dans un autre monde. On ne peut lui reprocher que quelques légers soucis de jouabilité à cause des angles de caméra pas toujours bien placés. Mais BGE deviendra à n'en pas douter un grand classique que vous vous devez de posséder.

Grande déception, ce Batman : Rise Of Sin Tzu, reprend les défauts de ses prédécesseurs, n'y adjoignant que très peu de points dignes d'intérêt. Un mode deux joueurs en coopération, un système d'évolution, ou encore un nombre dantesque de combos disponibles, ne font rien à ce triste constat. Un titre pauvre, dénué d'âme et de fond. Divertissant une fois, à condition d'être patient. Et pourtant je suis un grand fan de cet homme de la nuit. Une ombre rôde sur un toit ....ce n'était qu'un chat.

Need for Speed Underground ist einfach ein Synonym für unvergleichliche Hochgeschwindigkeits-Arcade-Rennaction. Auch wenn sich die Strecken auf Dauer wiederholen, kommt man einfach nicht mehr vom Pad los, bis man ausnahmslos alle 111 Wettbewerbe und die Bonus-Missionen gemeistert hat. Die Aufgabenvariation mit Drift, Drag, Sprint-Rennen und Rundkursen sorgt immer wieder im richtigen Moment für Motivationsschübe. Nimmt man dazu die gut reagierende Steuerung, den passenden Soundtrack und die sauschnelle Grafik, die nicht mit Effekten geizt, findet man mit NfS Underground das perfekte Rennspiel für lange Wochenenden. Selbst kleine Schönheitsfehler wie das ursprünglich angekündigte, aber dann wieder fallen gelassene Schadensmodell, das Fehlen von Wiederholungen und den fehlenden Rückspiegel können die Wertung nicht maßgeblich schmälern. Für Besitzer mehrerer Konsolen stellt sich jedoch wieder die Qual der Wahl. Die Steuerung ist dank besserer Analog-Unterstützung auf der Xbox und GameCube minimal besser und die Grafik sieht auf der Xbox dank echten Environment-Mappings und höherer Auflösung allgemein besser aus als bei den anderen beiden. Das jedoch kann die PS2 mit Online-Modus und deutlich weniger Rucklern gut kompensieren. Doch egal auf welcher Konsole: Need for Speed Underground ist einer der Pflichttitel dieses Jahres.

Onimusha Tactics est sans conteste le RPG tactique idéal pour les joueurs ayant envie de découvrir cet univers. Le soft de Capcom est en effet simple d'accès et original par certains côtés. Après, il n'en demeure pas moins très linéaire, rapide à terminer et manquant de possibilités pour qui est habitué à ce type de production.

J'en veux vraiment aux développeurs de m'obliger à ne mettre qu'un petit 15/20 compte tenu que le titre m'a vraiment beaucoup plu. Mais puisque tout ceci est propre à ma personne, je ne peux mettre davantage compte tenu des gros défauts du gameplay qui rebuteront à n'en point douter bon nombre d'entre-vous. Mais si vous parvenez à surmonter cette maniabilité très irritante, qui rend les combats laborieux, vous aurez entre les mains un jeu passionnant, soutenu par des graphismes ravissants, une histoire bien construite, une ambiance envoûtante et surtout une bande-son digne des plus grands. Un vrai survival sonore que ce Ghosthunter ! ! A écouter et à déguster sans modération.

Why haven't more people stolen this idea yet? I mean, seriously. Since the original Deus Ex came out over three years ago, only titles like Morrowind and Knights of the Old Republic have tried to allow for this type of emergent story-telling. I can only surmise that it must be damn hard to make a game like that. Come to think of it, given the quality of linear, scripted RPGs of late, that seems pretty likely. Though I finished it in less than twenty hours (about half the time it took for Knights of the Old Republic, about a millionth for Morrowind), I dove right back in again to try out some different things and see how some of the big either/or decisions worked out. Sure, some people will say that the game's made too many concessions to convenience -- no more skills and one kind of ammo spring to mind -- but all this means is that you have fewer concerns distracting you from the main point of the game, your experience making decisions within the game's story. That's the real draw here -- the sense that you're playing an active role in shaping the destiny of the world. Starting as a relatively ignorant pawn of the powers that be and moving up to be one who actually makes or breaks those powers is nowhere more engaging than in this game. What are you waiting for? Go play it already.

Dans la veine un tantinet malade de Tribunal, Bloodmoon traverse les mêmes intempéries pour terminer dans un état identique. Apportant trop peu d'innovations, il ne se place que comme un ajout assez dispensable. Mis à part l'idée géniale du loup garou et la conservation d'une interface moins oppressante, rien ne pousse à retenter l'aventure dans les contrées de Vvardenfell. Dommage, ce monde enchanteur est tellement proche de l'héroïc-fantasy pure souche. Un coup d'épée dans l'eau.

We liked Armed and Dangerous. Yes, it's all about shooting and blowing things up, but when did that become stale? In our minds, it hasn't. Of course, there are some games where shooting is very boring. Luckily, Armed and Dangerous, believe it or not, is a smart shooter that actually requires some brain activity and/or superhuman reflexes. We also really loved the humor in the game. Without it, the game would still be a good shooter - just not as fun. If you're looking for a deep story, look somewhere else. The narrative for Armed and Dangerous is merely used a vehicle for assigning (sometimes) outrageous goals rather than telling a rich story. Still, the light-hearted nature of the story is enjoyable bringing to mind a more vulgar, Mel Brooks-produced Shrek; not the story really, but the overall feel and theme of the humor. On the other hand, if you're looking for a challenging shooter that features tight controls, nice graphics, and a wicked sense of humor, Armed and Dangerous is your game - it's easily one of the best action shooters on the Xbox, hands down.
