Aside from some brief moments of hair-pulling bewilderment, I remained totally delighted from beginning to end. If it had a bit stronger story (and a little more pep in its protagonist) the game could easily have established itself as an all-time classic of the genre, which in some ways is even more frustrating than its most confounding puzzles—it’s so close to greatness. Still, the fact that an adventure as original and imaginative as Voodoo Detective can come out in this day and age, embracing old-school techniques to look as good as it does—and all from a small, unheard-of studio on a presumably modest budget, no less—is really encouraging and bodes well for the future for more games of a similar throwback nature. It may have its share of bumps in the road, but Voodoo Detective is a joyful romp very much worth your time.

Broken Pieces c'est avant tout l'histoire d'un jeu qui disposait de plus d'ambitions que de moyens. Avec sa volonté de proposer une expérience de jeu à mi-chemin entre les prémices du survival-horror et le jeu d'aventures plus moderne, le titre aurait pu être une belle surprise s'il n'avait pas été plombé par ses combats trop lourds et ses bugs techniques omniprésents. On profite tout de même d'un scénario intéressant, d'un village breton bien modélisé et d'une poignée d'énigmes agréables à résoudre, pour un jeu globalement sympathique mais bourré d'imperfections.

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars fa tutto discretamente, ma niente realmente bene. Si tratta di una produzione all'atto pratico corposa, perché affianca a una narrazione estesa un impianto ludico ricco di caratteristiche interessanti. Alla sua apprezzabilissima volontà di essere facilmente fruibile, però, non riesce ad abbinare una buona complessità di fondo. La semplicità e l'immediatezza dei singoli elementi di gioco rappresentano spesso più un limite che un valore aggiunto, con l'avventura che non riesce proprio a scrollarsi di dosso quella sensazione di godibile ma inconsistente leggerezza.

Warhammer 40K: Shootas Blood & Teef is a great game if you are in for some mindless fun alongside your friends. Its variety of weapons can be fun to engage with. While its campaign is short, you can still find enjoyment in the PvP mode or try new weapons with your friends.

Al di là di qualche piccolo limite, Marvel Snap è il card game che molti fan stavano aspettando: divertente, veloce, traboccante di stile e di smisurato fanservice, con un regolamento semplice e un sistema di progressione intrigante e stratificato. Se siete appassionati della Casa delle Idee e cercate un’esperienza di gioco “mordi e fuggi”, il gioco di Second Dinner Studios potrebbe fare al caso vostro. Per chi è cresciuto a pane, Marvel Comics e MCU, lasciarsi risucchiare dallo schiocco di Marvel Snap è praticamente... ineluttabile.

Bayonetta 3 cranks up the chaos, improves the combat, polishes the level design, and adds a ton of new mechanics to the mix, making for the very best entry in this storied series to date. PlatinumGames has absolutely nailed it this time around, carefully layering on more ways to engage enemies, piling on the OTT gameplay sequences, and giving us multiple protagonists without upsetting the balance of what makes these games amongst the very best examples of their genre. With solid performance in docked and handheld modes, impressive visuals, non-stop action, and a hugely replayable campaign that's a joy from start to finish, this really is a huge celebration of everything we love about Bayonetta, an action all-timer and one of the gaming highlights of 2022 so far, on Switch or any other platform.

Bayonetta 3 è la più cristallina spiegazione del silenzio di PlatinumGames degli ultimi anni che si potesse desiderare: si tratta chiaramente di un "all-in", un videogioco creato consumando qualunque idea e risorsa possibile per raggiungere il limite massimo di una specifica serie. E la cosa incredibile è che, nonostante un piano simile potesse andare terribilmente storto, i Platinum sono riusciti a portarlo a termine non solo creando uno dei migliori action mai fatti, ma anche il Bayonetta più eccessivo e imprevedibile che si potesse immaginare. Certo, la loro creatura non è perfetta, presenta alcuni chiari sbilanciamenti e alle volte le sue follie possono rendere l'esperienza un po' caotica... concepire un seguito più spettacolare e riuscito di questo era però a nostro parere quasi impossibile, e crediamo sul serio che si tratti della miglior chiusura che un fan della strega con gli occhiali possa desiderare. Tanto di cappello, i Platinum sono più vivi che mai.
