And that's really the feeling of Pony Friends, overall. If you want to. You have the freedom to make your own choices, your own decisions. You're not locked in to a set, standard selection of horses or a restrictive adventure narrative. You simply get to own a horse, care for a horse, and ride a horse. It's exactly what a horse-focused virtual pet experience should be about, and members of this title's target demographic would be well served to select this game over any other horses in the race.

Blazing Angels 2's shortcoming are few and far between, and while the better-late-than-never checkpoint system is the most aggravating of all, the game is still a great deal of fun, especially online, where the campaign can be better enjoyed without the hindrance of poorly placed checkpoints, in addition to a nice selection of other play modes. Blazing Angels 2 is a marked improvement over its predecessor, and a game that arcade flight gamers will enjoy.

I have to admit, I am somewhat addicted to the Marvel Trading Card Game. It's not a great game by any measure, but it does an excellent job of tapping into the collector's mentality of comic-book fans. Upper Deck's Vs. system is inferior to Magic, Munchkin and Pokemon, but is still enjoyable. The fact that it taps into so much of Marvel's mythology may be reason enough for Marvelites to give this a try. Just be warned that the game is far less than it could have been due to weak visuals, repetitive sounds and a story mode that is too long for its own good. MTCG isn't as enjoyable as its tabletop counterpart, but it has proven to be a nice distraction that, for some intangible reason, keeps drawing me back.

What's impressive about D&D Tactics is the fact that the game manages to cram almost every aspect of the pen and paper franchise onto a small UMD, but that comes at a price. The menus, combat issues and other exclusions really hamper the experience. If you're a D&D fan or veteran, there is an interesting game to be found here, but you are definitely going to have to wade through some issues to find it.

Overall, Breath of Fire II is a solid, enjoyable RPG experience that earns just a little more distinction by the fact that it's arrived with few other competitors when it originally saw release. Though it's not a role-playing masterpiece on the level of Final Fantasy VI or Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire II is still a game that fans of those more notable titles would enjoy.

Medal of Honor: Airborne, while not perfect, is definitely the best game in the franchise to come along in quite a while. It may be fairly short, but those hours are pretty much one non-stop battle with Nazi Germany throughout the various paratrooper campaigns from World War II. The levels are designed well and provide a few different environmental challenges that shooter fans should appreciate. The weapons feel and sound good as well and dropping into each level from the sky adds some interest and replayability through occasionally the feature seems more like a gimmick than something to change shooters for all time. The shiny coat of EA presentation covering all aspects of Airborne certainly help with the enjoyment, but there's not quite as much variety and interaction that we're becoming used to in top-tier shooters these days.

The more we played, the more we warmed to Pangya!, but we’re still unlikely to go back to it. If you’re an absolute golf nut who also loves a cutesy Japanese presentation, you could do worse, but the bottom line is, if you’re only going to buy one golf game for Wii, you’d be far better off just hanging out for Camelot’s “We Love Golf” instead of picking this one up.

In the grand scheme of things, this is an average game with a few good qualities here and there, but it's super repetitive. Being able to unlock new characters and subsequent storylines is great, and every Mobile Suit is completely upgradeable and each pilot has their own separate experience bar for leveling. There's definitely a lot to do, but it's a lot of the same stuff, over and over. Let's put it this way: the introductory cinematic of the game is awesome, and has a fantastic sense of scale. If the game actually played that way, it would be so much better. But it doesn't. So be very weary of this title; it's definitely not good, but it's not terrible, either. It can be fun at times, and leveling your pilots up does encourage multiple play throughs, but this game is much more suitable for Gundam enthusiasts than the average gamer. And by the way, fighting on a massive, 2D plane is not sufficient for space combat. There. We said it. Okay fangirls, you can go drool over Heero Yuy, now.

Let's get this straight: MotoGP '07 is a better game than MotoGP '06. It has more features, is more polished when it comes to the actual racing, and retains the same level of fun that is in all MotoGP games. However, the reason that it's not getting a higher score is because it doesn't do much to advance the series. The new additions and fixes are good to see (especially if you're a tuning fan), but a lot of them should have been in the previous games already. It seems like a small amount of effort was spent on undercooked modes just so they could claim a longer feature list on the back of the box. You'll still have a fun time, but here's hoping that MotoGP '08 is a bigger upgrade.

At the end of the day, Vegas Stakes neither turns in a loss or a significant gain – it simply is what it is, a casino sim with a fair variety of different gambling games and a bit of non-player character interaction thrown in as an aside. But as the first game of its type to hit the Virtual Console, it also serves as a potential proof of concept and call to action for digital download developers working on Wii. With WiiWare on its way next year, wouldn't a simple collection of casino games like this be a great, easy-to-execute idea? Update this concept with 16:9 and 480p graphics, introduce pointer control with the Wii Remote and sell it in the Shop for a reasonable pricetag of Points – it could be very lucrative for the developer who gets to market with it first. After all, there's real money to be made in offering gamers a way to gamble fake money away. And the current competition on Wii isn't in any condition to really compete.

The Nintendo DS and its tiny screens may not be the best outlet for the classic Worms experience, but THQ and Two Tribes managed to bring it all together for the handheld gamers. Worms: Open Warfare 2 is a massive upgrade to the original game, so much so that it really should have been its own brand instead of "Number Two" of the 2005 release. Awesome single player campaigns, fantastic multiplayer support, and some unexpected treats specific to the unique features of the handheld. It absolutely trounces the first game in every category and finally gives the Nintendo DS the true Worms experience.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is most definitely addicting. At times, I found myself with sore eyes as I refused to blink during particularly intense matches. How often does that happen with a downloadable game? Not often enough. Although the Xbox 360 d-pad isn't the best choice for puzzle games, it works well enough that this game is still a great deal of fun. Give it a shot.

Madden NFL 08 is a great game. It's certainly the best Madden since the 2005 edition and a worthy offering for the new generation of gaming. The new animation system is outstanding and the game itself plays wonderfully. Madden succeeds where it matters most: The gameplay. Now Tiburon just needs to bolster the surrounding aspects and it could have a true classic on its hands in the near future. The presentation needs a serious kick in the ass. Let this be the last year with a radio broadcast play-by-play. It's embarrassing to listen to this homer calling (and miscalling) plays. Madden 08 is not the best football game ever made, but it is one of the better iterations in the franchise. It's certainly the best Xbox 360 football game to date.
