While its gameplay can be painfully slow at time, especially if you’re looking for a fully streamlined experience, it will still prove to be a worthwhile purchase for Monopoly fans who have no one to play with. As someone who thoroughly enjoys Monopoly and yet fully understands how many people detest the game, I was satisfied with playing against the computer, which presented a fair challenge, especially on its hardest settings. Online multiplayer has some robust options, too, and I had a couple of good, well-fought matches in the online space, though how successful the game will be online depends entirely on if people are willing to purchase the game and become a regular part of the community.
Monopoly Streets isn’t going to make new fans if you already find the core Monopoly gameplay boring and mundane, but if you’re a fan of Monopoly and want a version to play on your home console, whether online or offline, you probably needn’t look any further.
