While NBA 07 had the potential to be much better than last year's lukewarm effort, the game barely hosts any improvement. The defensive flaws from last year still plague this years game, the additions to the court don¿t necessarily make the game any more challenging; in fact, in some ways it makes it way too easy. Unfortunately, this also carries over and infects other modes like the Life, which is so ridiculously easy to complete with a story that isn't engaging at all. This is particularly surprising in the wake of the excellent version of NBA on the PSP. The concept is still a good one, but unfortunately, the NBA series for the PS2 will need a lot of work before it can compete with the other basketball games out there.
