The Legend of Spyro series comes to a mostly satisfying close with Dawn of the Dragon. I thought the first game in the series was well done, the second lagged a bit and the third represents a return to form. While this game shines brightest on PS3 and Xbox 360 due to the more polished graphics, I think Wii owners are likely to get the most of the experience because there are so few comparable third-party efforts which pay as much attention to production values and scope. If you completely hate the franchise, the title isn't going to suddenly sway you, but if you've always found it interesting or are in just the right mood to try it out, you're going to find a decidedly basic, but still fun platform-heavy adventure that harkens back to the designs of last generation. Cooperative multiplayer mode aside, there's no "new generation" style hook and the resulting play mechanics therefore don't feel fresh (especially after two prequels), but the fundamentals are sound and the presentation better than you expect.
En conclusion la Naissance d'un Dragon est une belle manière de mettre un terme à une trilogie qui avait plutôt mal démarré. Ceux qui s'étaient fâchés avec Spyro après les deux précédents épisodes seront ravis de retrouver leur dragon plus en forme que jamais et désormais libre de voler dans les airs à tout moment. La présence de Cynder à ses côtés apporte un brin de nouveauté mais elle permet surtout de découvrir toute l'aventure en mode coopératif.
