Honeycomb Beat's a nice try at giving DS gamers a unique puzzle design, but ultimately it's nothing more than a basic diversion. It offers challenge for a few hours of play, but without that little addictive spark it's hard to see this game ever making it up into the ranks of other handheld puzzle games. This would have made a really good option in a collection of puzzle games, but it has a hard time standing on its own.

Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe if I put enough hours into this game it eventually would 'energize my mind' as the blurb on the back of the box promises, but frankly, life's too short to find out.
