La seule chose faisant vraiment défaut à Andro Dunos 2 est son cruel manque de nouveauté. Bon élève, récitant ses gammes avec une justesse presque insolente, bienveillant vis-à-vis du genre auquel il rend hommage, le titre ne commet guère d’impair. On pourrait lui reprocher un petit manque de lisibilité çà et là, mais rien d’insurmontable. Et comme il s’agit d’un jeu destiné à être refait pour améliorer son score, on passera aisément sur ce menu problème. En bref, Andro Dunos 2 est donc un digne héritier du Shoot’em Up.

Rogue Legacy 2 is a transformative sequel that essentially rebuilds the extraordinarily influential 2013 original into a modern roguelite that stands nearly shoulder to shoulder with the best of the genre. Its wealth of upgrade choices to be made in between runs can be a bit overwhelming the first time through, especially without a way to undo mistakes, but that issue feels small compared to its an incredible menu of customization options, excellent combat that handsomely rewards skillful play, six diverse areas that each provide their own unique challenge, and a deep post-game mode that provides plenty of reason to come back for new challenges long after the first rolling of the credits. With Rogue Legacy 2, Cellar Door Games can now not only have a claim to developing one of the first ever Roguelites, but also one of the best.

Rogue Legacy 2 is excellent in every conceivable metric. The gameplay is fast, tight, and feels fair. It’s simplistic but beautiful graphically. The music is excellent, and the story is intriguing but not in the way. At $25 US this is something every fan of the genre either new or old should give a try. It takes every positive from the solid first game and improves upon it while sanding away many of its rough edges.

Juego de notable acabado que disfrutaremos y recordaremos. Una buena compra, muy recomendable para amantes del género. Está bien cuidado a todos los niveles.

Epic Mickey : Le Retour des Héros troque un problème contre un autre. A force d'ambition, le titre convainc sans briller. Si l'ambiance reste exquise et l'aventure gargantuesque, dommage que le mode coop soit si brouillon. Globalement, le jeu et ses mécaniques semblent trop complexes, en particulier pour les plus jeunes. Alors que l'ordinateur est d'une aide précieuse en solo, l'action est bien moins lisible à plusieurs. Un problème qui sera sûrement régler pour la version Wii U, le deuxième joueur pouvant vraisemblablement jouer sur le GamePad. Heureusement, Epic Mickey : Le Retour des Héros a surtout le mérite de corriger le plus gros problème de son aîné : ses soucis de caméra. Un bon titre mais un brin décevant.

Cities: VR does a fine job adapting the management of Cities: Skylines for virtual reality, but the deep compromises made in both graphics and mechanics mean that Fast Travel’s adaptation has room for improvement. That said, what we’ve got is a competent city-builder, one that’s approachable for new players and makes great use of the Quest 2’s motion controls. The main reward of Cities: VR comes down to how invested you are in seeing your metropolis thrive up close and personal. There’s no endgame beyond that, so how much you get out of it will vary. Still, considering I kept playing until the Quest’s battery depleted, it won my approval.
