The Gunk is a creative, witty, and charming adventure game, albeit a bit on the short side at only five or six hours in length. Still, the writing, world, and exploration more than make up for the short campaign as players will find themselves immediately immersed in the world and Rani and Becks’ friendship. Unfortunately, a few technical problems plague the game, the most blatant of which – getting stuck on various items – becomes frustrating in later platforming sections. Still, The Gunk is an adventure well worth partaking in.

Overall, Evil Genius 2 is an enjoyable game. Having not played the original I can’t say if it was or wasn’t worth the lengthy wait for this sequel, but as someone who has played his fair share of city builders and management sims, this is certainly no bad effort if you’re looking for something a little more casual, whilst still providing enough to keep you engaged for several hours. With multiple characters, each playthrough has its own twists and never did I feel like things were becoming too much of the same, which is all too frequent in gaming these days. Sure, it may not be quite so taxing for veteran city builders, but it’s certainly a welcome experience on Xbox consoles.

Halo Infinite Tributo - senza mezzi termini - al capostipite della serie Halo: Combat Evolved, Infinite si svecchia un po' della polvere dei precedenti capitoli, ma rimanendone saldamente e fieramente legato. Questo ultimo capitolo della serie, nato da una lunga e travagliata gestazione, ci consegna un prodotto cross-gen nel cuore e nell'aspetto, ma rivelandosi una produzione ormai salda e matura, al punto da poterla considerare come uno degli shooter migliori in circolazione. Gunplay vario e bilanciato, un IA quasi sempre dinamica e convincente, rendono l'esperienza di gioco appagante e soddisfacente anche se affrontata a livello normale. In attesa nei mesi a venire della ciliegina sulla torta, ovvero la modalità co-op per il single player, potremo continuare a divertirci in "infinite" battaglie multiplayer, perché in fine dei conti Halo, è sempre Halo. PRO Gunplay vario ed avvincente, Dolby Atmos immersivo, lore e trama come da tradizione CONTRO IA dei compagni deficitaria, aree open world vuote e piatte, secondarie poco coinvolgenti

Se amate le avventure narrative basate sull’investigazione e avete un debole per l’effetto nostalgia non potete perdervi Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure. La storia, per quanto non brilli di originalità, è in grado di intessere un intreccio che aggancia di capitolo in capitolo, sfidando l’arguzia del giocatore e fornendo un’esperienza investigativa ben bilanciata. Mai noiosa, ma neanche frustrante. Se però non amate leggere righe e righe di testo a schermo sarebbe consigliabile passare oltre. Il titolo di DigiTales Interactive si prende i suoi tempi, ed è giusto rispettarli.

Lacuna is a beautiful looking futuristic noir detective story with a great soundtrack that really makes you realise how much your decisions matter. Be prepared to do a lot of reading and research in-game so you make informed choices, because if you don’t a bad ending is waiting for you!
