For better and worse, Evil Genius 2 on console is exactly the same as on PC, complete with glitches and menu navigation. It needs a bit of work to smooth out the experience, but the game itself is a ton of fun and well worth playing, however you can get your hands on it.

Danganronpa Decadence è un acquisto obbligato per varie categorie di giocatori, alcune delle quali totalmente (e colpevolmente) ignare delle tante qualità dei prodotti Spike Chunsoft in esso inclusi. Gli amanti delle visual novel troveranno pane per i loro denti, tanto quanto i giocatori che amano i dialoghi ed i personaggi ben scritti, e ce n'è anche per gli amanti della lettura, perché, complice la modalità portatile di Switch, perdersi sotto le coperte nei meandri della Hope's Peak Academy rimane un'esperienza da provare. Ci sentiamo di escludere dalla lista di coloro che dovrebbero procedere all'avventura solamente due categorie di giocatori: gli amanti dell'azione forsennata a tutto spiano, che dovrebbero evitare come la peste non solo questo pacchetto ma tutte le visual novel in generale, e coloro i quali avessero già spolpato per bene la trilogia altrove, in quanto né le modifiche apportate ai titoli né il quarto gioco bonus incluso, Danganronpa S, valgono da soli il prezzo del biglietto della versione fisica. Se, infine, non doveste appartenere ad alcuna delle categorie succitate, il consiglio, a patto di cavarsela con l'inglese, è di provare comunque a cimentarvi con tre opere d'arte malate e visionarie, che hanno contribuito a ridare vigore ad un genere che per anni sembrava caduto nel dimenticatoio.

Pokemon Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond, despite ignoring some of the original's issues, is a great remake that runs remarkably well and sports excellent visuals.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is een meer dan mooie eerste telg van uitgever Riot Forge. Van combat tot design, alles is tot in de puntjes uitgewerkt, al geven de makkelijkere moeilijkheidsgraden te weinig uitdaging om sommige van de mechanics van het spel ten volle te benutten. Ontwikkelaar Airship Syndicate kan trots zijn op hun telg van een franchise die velen op handen dragen.

Il nuovo gioco di Prideful Sloth ha la stessa filosofia del suo predecessore: tranquillità, relax e attività legate alla natura e agli animali ci accompagnano per ore in un sandbox che fa del micro-management il suo nucleo. Nei panni dell'ultimo alchimista che può salvare Alaria dovremo farci forza scacciando l'Avvizzimento, coltivando nuovi mondi e costruendo distretti, case e piazze perché la città ritorni a essere un posto dove vivere. Nonostante la presenza di meccaniche interessanti, come la creazione di nuovi mondi e una componente esplorativa che cerca di legare le attività del gioco, tanta ripetitività e troppe semplificazioni fanno perdere un po' la magia dopo la prima dozzina di ore di gioco, specialmente dopo aver incontrato le numerose incertezze tecniche. Saprà comunque far passare tante ore agli amanti di questo tipo di esperienze sandbox.

Battlefield 2042 changes the franchise formula considerably but brings no real improvements. While it has added flexibility with specialists and the Portal mode, the balance issues, poor maps, technical problems, and missing features keep it from reaching the heights of its predecessors.

The Prince of Landis has some redeeming qualities, most notably the art style and the story/setting, and adventure game fans might find something they like here, but ultimately it falls short, mostly due to the shallow gameplay. The short length of the game is beneficial to the overall experience (as well as for all the achievement hunters playing the game), but I would recommend waiting for a sale to pick it up.

Diablo II Resurrected, for the most part, strikes a perfectly respectable balance between maintaining the look and feel of the original and updating it for a modern audience. It's unambitious, but it doesn't really need to be any more than that — Diablo II was a wonderful game, and all it really needed was a bit of sprucing up at the end of the day. That's been done here, and done mostly well, and the transition to a gamepad is probably is good as it could've been. Still, it feels dated in some ways, and its online/offline character split was a dreadful choice, given how bad the servers have been for it. Still, it is Diablo II, for better and for worse, and if you're like me and have a nostalgic attachment to it, it's probably worth a play.
