While some of the slower elements of the original games have been fixed, and The Grand Underground makes up for the comparatively weak Pokédex, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s new art style and a few other stumbles make this pair of games a somewhat disappointing retread of Generation 4. They’re also very clearly in the shadow of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the upcoming open-world-like Pokemon game that has fans hoping it can take the series in exciting new directions beyond 20-year-old mechanics. If the remit of these remakes was to remain faithful to the original Gen 4 pair, we wish they’d also stuck to the pixel-art aesthetic. Aside from The Grand Underground – and the connectivity with the current games in the series – there’s very little reason to play Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl over your original DS copies.

Although somewhat lacking on the horror front, PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water is a fun time with an interesting story and gorgeous graphics. The audio could use some improvement, but the pros far outweigh the cons.

Pokémon Diamant Étincelant et Pokémon Perle Scintillante semble un peu trop conçu dans le seul but de nous faire patienter jusqu'à Légendes Pokémon : Arceus. Ce dernier s'annonce comme une réelle évolution pour une franchise qui se repose un peu sur ses acquis -- ce que soulignent ces deux remakes. L'approche du studio ILCA est un peu trop scolaire. Résultat, Pokémon Diamant Étincelant et Pokémon Perle Scintillante laissent un goût de déjà-vu et de déjà-joué. L'agrément de la nostalgie ne peut pas toujours fonctionner et justifier l'existence de ces remakes très paresseux.

Le retour du Marsupilami en jeu vidéo est une petite déception. Les lyonnais d'Ocellus Studio nous proposent une aventure disposant d'une base solide, avec des graphismes très soignés et un gameplay intéressant, mais sans aucune profondeur. Pire, la fin du jeu arrive juste au moment où le titre commençait à montrer une pointe d'ambition, laissant un petit arrière goût d'impression de gâchis. Essentiellement tourné vers les enfants de 7 ans ou plus, Marsupilami et le Secret du Sarcophage ne parvient pas à fournir une expérience suffisamment dense pour les embarquer au delà d'un week-end, et c'est bien dommage.

In the aftermath of such an event as being locked out of your save file one has to take a look at the road travelled in a very particular light. There’s a lot to like and even love about The Last Stand: Aftermath. Its moment-to-moment treasure hunting and rogue-like systems are top-notch at pulling you in and keeping you playing. I especially love the mutation system and its run-altering effects that make each volunteer you send to die uniquely fun. Frankly though, it’s hard to recommend something that clearly needs more time. If the bugs can be flattened to the point where they don’t endanger the player experience then there is a really good time to be had here. However, it might be best to stay away from this infection, at least for the time being.

Grow: Song of the Evertree feels like a mobile phone time-killing game that has been plucked out spruced up with some gorgeous graphics, added some great orchestral background music, pumped the game full of things to do and gives you free license with how you want to play create your worlds. As with these types of games, some things can get quite repetitive but if you want a stress free pretty looking game then you could easily lose some hours with this game.
