Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess è un gioco a suo modo davvero atipico. Non è il nuovo Onimusha, così come il suo essere un ibrido tra un action game e uno strategico in tempo reale potrebbe straniare i giocatori meno smaliziati. Vero anche che proprio questa commistione di generi, unita a un comparto estetico davvero affascinante, sono proprio i punti di forza di un prodotto comunque unico nel suo genere, e quindi da provare.

SCHiM è un'esperienza narrativa dallo stile grafico davvero peculiare, che prova a mettere sul tavolo meccaniche platform ed elementi puzzle per consegnarci un gameplay che scorre in maniera piacevole ma non lascia assolutamente il segno a causa della sua eccessiva semplicità e linearità. A fronte di soluzioni di questo genere, con alcuni livelli che si completano nel giro di pochi secondi, la brevità della campagna era inevitabile ma un paio di opzioni extra che si sbloccano dopo il completamento consentono quantomeno di rigiocare la storia con qualche piccolo extra.

Dungeons of Hinterberg est une très jolie surprise. Derrière sa direction artistique si particulière, mais pour autant réussie, se cache une aventure plaisante à parcourir. Qu’il s’agisse de se détendre en explorant la région et y dénicher des trésors, discuter et se lier d’amitié avec les habitants d’Hinterberg ou de parcourir les vingt-cinq donjons du jeu, on ne s’ennuie pas. Les donjons proposent tous des mécaniques variées combinant adroitement des phases d’énigmes et des affrontements via un bel ensemble de pouvoirs et de compétences. Un jeu parfait pour une petite dose de vacances à la maison, le tout accompagné de magie et de quelques rebondissements.

Dungeons of Hinterberg è il titolo perfetto per quest'estate. I suoi ritmi generalmente blandi, la sua struttura cadenzata da fasi ben distinte, il clima di vacanza e spensieratezza che si respira per buona parte dell'avventura, rendono la creatura di Microbird Games un passatempo ideale da fruire in brevi sessioni. Il sistema di combattimento, così come gli enigmi, propongono un livello di sfida moderato, sufficiente per mantenere vivo l'interesse, ma mai in grado di impegnare seriamente l'utente più esperto. Non ci vuole molto per empatizzare con Luisa, affezionarsi ai personaggi che incontrerà e suggestionarsi di fronte a certi panorami che questa rilettura fantasy delle Alpi sa regalare. Bisogna però prendere il gioco per quello che è. Al netto di qualche imperfezione e imprecisione in termini di level design, non si tratta di una produzione particolarmente originale o brillante. Approcciarlo con certe pretese, nutrire determinate aspettative, significa andare incontro ad una cocente delusione. Ma se cercate un piacevole passatempo, una pausa dal tran tran quotidiano da gustarvi in piccole dosi, Dungeons of Hinterberg può fare al caso vostro.

While the early hours are a bit rough, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is one of those soulslikes that only gets better as you get further in, unlocking more of the interesting skills that allow you to fully take advantage of its attack chains and XP multipliers. However, you’ll need to want to head off the beaten path to tackle sidequests, find optional fights, or interact with various NPCs to earn weapons and upgrades in order to get the most out of it. Thankfully, Flintlock respects your time while doing so with its use of shortcuts, fast travel, and other ways of making exploring fun and easy. It may have an abridged run time compared to other RPGs, but it makes good use of that time with interesting sidequests and an excellent minigame. Unfortunately, Flintlock’s story meanders a bit towards the middle and wastes a few opportunities that could have let its main characters shine, but this adventure did leave me interested to find out where Nor and Enki will go next.

On attendait énormément de Flintlock The Siege Of Dawn et bien qu’imparfait, on a apprécié notre périple en compagnie de Nor et d’Enki. Le socle du gameplay est connu, et assez simpliste dans le genre Souls mais ces ajouts maison lui procurent suffisamment de cachet pour qu’on adhère à la proposition. Le voyage reste quand même trop court à notre goût et on aurait aimé un peu plus de variété sur la fin de la balade. Peut-être est-on un peu trop gourmand à la vue de son statut de AA. Disponible à petit prix, et en plus dans le GamePass (pc comme console), aucune excuse pour ne pas découvrir cette production fraiche et originale.
