Stritolato tra uscite del calibro di Tales of Arise e Shin Megami Tensei V, Astria Ascending è un JRPG realizzato con cura che forse tende a omaggiare anche troppo le vecchie glorie di questo genere. Nel tentativo di infilarci un po' tutto, i ragazzi di Artisan Studios hanno sviluppato un titolo bellissimo da vedere, ma senza troppa personalità. Si tratta comunque di un JRPG estremamente valido, pur al netto di diverse spigolosità, indebolito da una narrativa che ci mette troppo tempo a ingranare ma che riserva non poche sorprese a chi avrà la pazienza di superare le prime ore di gioco.

Nous pouvions craindre que UnMetal ne soit pas à la hauteur de ses ambitions, mais il n’en est rien ! Le jeu d'Unepic_Fan est certes un vibrant hommage à Metal Gear et aux films d’action des années 80, mais il garde une identité propre. Avec sa narration très drôle, son gameplay simple mais efficace et son rythme soutenu, le jeu se paye même le mérite de durer une petite dizaine d’heure. Un grand plaisir dans l'ensemble, malgré quelques petits couacs pouvant s'avérer très frustrants. Les fans de Metal Gear peuvent se jettera dessus, les non-réfractaires aux jeux rétros peuvent également tenter l'aventure et prendre beaucoup de plaisir sur ce titre plus que sympathique !

UnMetal is a 2D stealth action-adventure that pays homage to the classics with a healthy dose of humor and satire. You play as Jesse Fox, who is definitely NOT an elite commando, under arrest for a crime he didn't commit, and must escape a covert military base using his wits and fists. (via Steam page)

FIFA 22 feels like real football, and it’s all the better for it. Impressive improvements to player positioning, ball physics, and animations make for a supremely satisfying simulation that underpins each of the franchise’s flagship modes. Career Mode doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but the ability to create a club is entertaining, and the changes to Player Careers are overdue. Microtransactions still rule supreme in Ultimate Team, and you’ll already have your own personal opinions on that, but there’s so much to do in this year’s release that you could easily invest hundreds of hours into it without seeing a single loot box.

It's not often you find a game that excels in everything it sets out to do, but Severed Steel exists. It's an incredibly smooth shooter despite the many different ways you can move. The absolutely superb soundtrack is the perfect way to complement the action. Although it's a very brief experience, every single level sent adrenaline into my veins. If you can find a game that makes me feel as jazzed as Severed Steel, savor every moment. Who knows? Maybe Severed Steel will be that game for you, too.

FIFA 22 arriva sul mercato con una formula sostanzialmente invariata rispetto agli scorsi anni. EA Sports ha lavorato per migliorare il gioco in ogni suo aspetto, mantenendone intatto, ovviamente, il DNA. Quindi grande attenzione a FUT e un marcato accento sulla fase offensiva e la spettacolarizzazione dello sport, con le difese e i centrocampo a fare da spettatori non paganti. Il tutto è messo nelle mani dei giocatori che, se abbastanza bravi, saranno in grado di raggiungere la porta con facilità, con manovre ariose e dribbling eleganti. Gli altri dovranno adattarsi o rifugiarsi nelle tante modalità single player dove, grazie alle slide e una buona intelligenza artificiale, potranno plasmare il gioco a loro immagine e somiglianza. Si tratta, quindi, di un pacchetto solido e completo, forse il più solido e completo sul mercato, che si poggia su di un gameplay che si è evoluto, ma che è ben riconoscibile e riconosciuto, nel bene e nel male.

Hot Wheels Unleashed è un titolo chiaramente indirizzato a chi apprezza i giochi di corse arcade: apprenderne il funzionamento è questione di pochi secondi, l'accessibilità è totale, il divertimento assicurato. Chi è in cerca di un livello di sfida elevato dovrà o dedicarsi alle prove a tempo o semplicemente aumentare il livello di difficoltà dalle opzioni di gioco. Ma Milestone non ha pensato semplicemente a portare i modellini in pista in tutta la loro bellezza: editor e personalizzazione sono due aspetti impossibili da trascurare, e garantiscono molte altre ore di gioco, nonché una certa soddisfazione per i risultati finali che sarà possibile ottenere. Un conto è veder correre una semplice Hot Wheels, un altro "la propria Hot Wheels" personalizzata in livera, cerchioni, colore, ruote e potenziata anche nelle caratteristiche di base. Se aggiungiamo che non mancano né la possibilità di costruire da zero (e condividere online) la propria pista, né quella di giocare (anche in locale, volendo) in compagnia degli amici, proprio non ci vengono in mente difetti gravi da imputare alla produzione. Un po' più di cura nella grafica, negli oggetti a schermo, nella varietà delle piste in sé di City Rumble? Più macchinine disponibili in futuro, magari non a pagamento? Un bilanciamento migliorato? Forse sì, ma abbiamo come l'impressione che questa corsa delle Hot Wheels in campo videoludico sia appena cominciata.
