Aftermath evolves World War Z in some major ways that brought a smile to my face. Kamchatka is a stellar new episode and the improved melee options and first-person mode are great quality-of-life improvements, but there are still issues with online play, barely any attempt at storytelling, and bizarre design choices (such as a lack of aiming down sights in first-person mode) that are huge disappointments. Even so, blasting my way through countless zombies still has lasting charm, and Aftermath makes World War Z better than it has ever been.

While it may be generally the same game as last year, If you skipped out on last year’s edition of NBA 2K this may be the year for you. Mechanically the game has improved and other than having to pay for VC to compete against other players I think you’ll find some enjoyment in playing My Career games or just with some friends.

WRC 10 feels more like a stopgap title and pales in comparison with their predecessors, with a lackluster performance on current and last gen consoles, an add-on that although gives challenge but feels challenging for the sake of it. It’s not a good showing for a racing series that’s also not having a good year as well.

Una graphic novel con qualche difetto di troppo La passione che i ragazzi di Antab Studio hanno messo nello sviluppo di Foreclosed è evidente ed innegabile. Dalla costruzione del mondo di gioco al comparto narrativo, il titolo offre una bella esperienza ricca di ritmo. L’utilizzo della struttura in stile graphic novel contribuisce a rendere memorabile il design del gioco, dominato da colori accesi a forti tinte viola. Purtroppo, però, i problemi tecnici sono troppi per poter dare a questo bel titolo un voto alto. Le hit dei colpi fin troppo imprecise rendono difficoltoso affrontare i nemici e capire se un colpo sarà effettivamente letale o meno. Così come l’impossibilità di sfruttare a dovere le coperture ci spinge a trovare soluzioni che infrangono la credibilità del mondo di gioco e ci portano essenzialmente a barare per sopravvivere. Anche il frame rate ballerino soprattutto negli scontri a fuoco non aiuta a dare all’esperienza di gioco l’impatto che potrebbe avere. PRO CONTRO

Lost Judgement is in my eyes a superb addition to the Yakuza series and is jam-packed with content. The graphics are great, the voice acting is great and the amount of activities that will distract you from the main quest is mind-blowing. It used the same formula which made its predecessors so much fun to play and improved on it. Even as dark and gruesome as the main story is there is always something around the corner in this game to put a smile back on your face.

Lost Judgment est un digne successeur de Judgment avec une histoire solide et prenant aux tripes jusqu'a sa conclusion. Les thématiques abordées et le cadre du lycée japonais amènent un vent de fraicheur par rapport à son cousin Yakuza, ce qui le rend original et captivant de bout en bout. On apprécie également les améliorations apportées au gameplay et les nouveaux ajouts, ce qui rend les enquêtes originales et intéressantes. On espère une suite !

Castlevania Advance Collection raccoglie alcuni tra gli esponenti più rappresentativi della saga di Konami. Ad eccezione di Vampire's Kiss, che può essere visto come una piacevole aggiunta, i tre giochi nati su Game Boy Advance hanno ancora molto da dire sotto il profilo della giocabilità. Gli sviluppatori di M2 hanno anche introdotto degli aiuti, sotto forma di indicatori per monitorare i collezionabili (che potete, tuttavia, disabilitare nelle opzioni) e tramite un riavvolgimento dell'azione per scongiurare i passaggi più frustranti. Questa funzione è utilissima anche per ingannare la Dea Bendata, riavvolgendo il tempo per rendere la raccolta di anime e carte meno aleatoria. Il salvataggio in qualunque momento è la ciliegina sulla torta e anche se può "rompere" il level design, pensato per la ripetizione di certi passaggi, resta una comodità cui è impossibile rinunciare. Arricchito da un'ampia raccolta di contenuti extra, tra musiche, disegni, bozzetti inediti, copertine originali e una vera e propria mini-enciclopedia per ogni gioco, Castlevania Advance Collection si rivela un pacchetto irrinunciabile per gli amanti della serie e per chiunque volesse scoprire un importante pezzo di storia videoludica.
