Dodgeball Academia does admittedly come together in a rather compelling way, but we're critical of the independent elements that make up this package. You might find yourself caught up in the storyline, which could potentially make up for its other shortcomings, but we found it a little disposable. It's clear that love has been poured into this adventure and it's absolutely superb to look at and listen to — we just wish the central sport was more enjoyable to play and the dialogue wasn't so interminable. You might dig this game more if you get hooked into the grind, so to speak — battles are over quickly and levelling up is always fun — but overall, if you're not willing to get by on sheer aesthetics, you might want to dodge this one.

Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions es un título muy divertido… mientras dure nuestro interés. Su mezcla entre realismo y cartoon, así como una jugabilidad arcade hacen que resulte muy agradable de jugar y muy agradecido con el jugador, que enseguida estará pegando puñetazos como todo un campeón. Por desgracia, pese a la opción de desbloquear 10 personajes extra para llegar a tener un plantel de 20 luchadores, enseguida nos quedaremos sin demasiado contenido por lo limitado que resulta en sus modos…

Clid The Snail ha sido toda una sorpresa para mí. Es imposible pasar por alto el increíble trabajo que ha hecho Weird Beluga Studio, el mimo y la dedicación que han puesto en cada apartado del videojuego. Han construido un mundo muy bonito y detallado, a pesar de que pasamos el 90% del tiempo pegando tiros y mirando a los enemigos. La historia cuenta con personajes muy originales y con diálogos que nos sacarán más de una sonrisa. Y el gameplay es diabólico: no me divertía tanto disparando a cosas desde DOOM de 2016 y no me sentía tan entre las cuerdas desde Dark Souls y Bloodborne.

De debuutgame van RaceWard Studio, dat trouwens bestaat uit ex-Milestone-medewerkers, is een spel met veel onbenut potentieel. Het is een degelijke motorracesimulatie die zeer diep gaat en je echt elk minuscuul aspect van de motoren laat ontdekken. Je krijgt er alleen wel een zeer beperkte selectie van acht moto’s voor in de plaats en ook het aantal circuits ligt niet bijster hoog. Het doel van de game is hier niet om zoveel mogelijk motoren te verzamelen, maar om de eigendomservaring van één van de beste tweewielers ter wereld te simuleren en die tot in de kleinste details te onderhouden. Al gaan de QTE-achtige knoppencombinaties die daar bij horen al snel vervelen. Het rijmodel is degelijk en zeker niet het eenvoudigste, maar het wordt wel gehinderd door de matige AI van je tegenstrevers. Visueel is het ook niet meteen de spectaculairste game, met enorm veel pop-in (zelfs op PlayStation 5) in de omgeving en wat framedrops.

WRC 10 riprende tutte le caratteristiche del suo predecessore e le riporta con qualche piccola, quasi impercettibile modifica anche sulle console di nuova generazione. Ci aspettavamo di più dal titolo Kylotonn, sia a livello di contenuti proposti che in termini di modello di guida. Purtroppo la sensazione provata con il volante non ci ha soddisfatto minimamente, mentre con il pad in mano il gioco si difende decisamente meglio pur mantenendo un'impronta principalmente arcade. Quello che veramente manca è uno stacco netto rispetto al passato per dimostrare la voglia di contrastare la sempre più agguerrita concorrenza e la voglia di rinnovare la serie. Le novità invece sono poche, tant'è che WRC 10 poteva essere venduto come semplice DLC della precedente versione con un aggiornamento apposito dedicato a Playstation 5 e Xbox Series X|S. Anche il gameplay ed il comparto tecnico rimane pressoché identico rispetto al passato con le ormai abituali criticità. L'unica vera novità apprezzabile è legata agli eventi del 50° anniversario del campionato WRC con le relative vetture che potrebbero invogliare gli appassionati ad acquistare questo videogioco ufficiale del World Rally Championship.
