Au final, Stonefly ne doit être pris que pour ce qu'il est : un titre d'aventure sympathique et sans grande envergure, idéal pour de petites sessions de jeu. Il n'est pas dénué de défauts, loin de là, et si son gameplay pourra s'avérer frustrant parfois, le joueur appréciera de pouvoir se plonger dans cet univers verdoyant et à la bande son relaxante. Pour peu qu'il ne soit pas entomophobe.

Como anteriores juegos de Lobanov, Chicory encuentra un interesante equilibrio entre su historia, que gira en torno a problemas muy humanos, y la exploración de nuestra capacidad artística a través de la pintura. Un juego "atípico", que probablemente te conquistará más cuanto más te guste pintar, aunque igualmente se disfruta sin centrarse en ella.

Open Country prova a differenziarsi dal mercato classico dei titoli di caccia, ma purtroppo si perde a metà dell'opera, proponendo un titolo che non sa né di carne né di pesce (per l'appunto). Le tante componenti inserite non brillano di novità e non fanno prevalere una tipologia di gioco sull'altra, ma neanche riescono ad amalgamarle uniformemente. Inoltre, non è giustificata la mancanza di attenzione verso alcuni dettagli presenti in diverse fasi di gioco, ben visibili e che si ripetono frequentemente. Un tale lavoro avrebbe fatto raggiungere al titolo una sufficienza anche striminzita, ma che per adesso deve accontentarsi solamente di belle fotografie da scattare da in cima a un monte.

Edge of Eternity is a love letter to classic Final Fantasy and Xenoblade games. It doesn’t live up to the level of its influences, but given the small team and limited resources, it’s an impressive attempt. The story does rely on tropes and the characters aren’t all that likeable, and while the game comes close to reaching its ambitious goals, it never reaches its full potential. It does scratch the JRPG itch and fans of the games that influenced it will likely get a lot of enjoyment from Edge of Eternity, but ultimately it’s a good but not great JRPG.
