Outside of its great use of the DualSense, RIDE 4 is a frustrating and disappointing experience. The lack of a meaningful tutorial, an aggravatingly difficult and boring campaign mode, the absence of local multiplayer, and the greedy credit system all equate to a game that feels like it was rushed for people hungry to get a next-gen motorcycle experience. RIDE 4 feels like a tech demo of the DualSense and nothing more. For an immersive racing experience on PS5, it is better to switch gears and look forward to Gran Turismo 7.

Wat dat betreft heeft de trailer wel gelijk. Je kunt inderdaad tegen grote, coole monsters vechten terwijl er epische muziek door je speakers knalt. Het is alleen jammer dat je je eerst door heel wat eentonigheid moet vechten vooraleer je dit kunt ervaren. De vraag blijft of de meeste gamers het geduld kunnen opbrengen om het einde van elk level te behalen. Volgens ons is dat niet het geval, waardoor Gods Will Fall er alvast in slaagt om één god zelf te doden: Dionysus, Griekse god van entertainment.

Gods Will Fall doesn’t hold your hand. It can seem difficult when first playing, but it’s one of those games where you get better as you learn the mechanics and which bosses to tackle first, as well as their weaknesses. Eventually you’ll be breezing through most levels, picking up weapons and chucking them at enemies, parrying them and launching them off cliffs to their deaths left and right. You’ll feel like maybe you’re the god, and if something does happen to you, you have seven more chances. If you like hack and slash games but want more than an average challenge then this is the game to try. Clever Beans has done a great job designing a harsh and atmospheric world while also providing an excellent set of tools and mechanics to conquer it.
