Unto the End doesn’t mess about, and that will likely divide opinion on it. I don’t think I’ll eve see the end as it’s just too much of a challenge for me, but I absolutely can see the care and work that has gone into making it, and how well put together it is. If you’re into that other game then this 2D side scroller should be on your radar. Just be prepared to have a proper run of things.

Among Us is an instantly accessible and super-addictive casual gaming experience that serves up some hilarious whodunnit hijinks in short bursts that are perfectly suited to portable play. There are a few niggles here with regards to controls that make communication fussier than it really needs to be, but this is a fine port that finally enables Switch gamers to jump in and see what all the fuss is about with this most unlikely of gaming sensations.

Cyberpunk 2077 for me is the whole package of what I want from a game like this. Great looking, great controls, great storyline and plenty of choices, content and replay value. This was marked as many players game of the year before it came out. Regardless of the outside noise, I didn’t suffer any game-breaking issues and only a couple of graphical glitches. I am not saying its perfect, but I am saying its wonderfully immersive and addictive. There is a lot here to be impressed with and when the Series X version is released and all the bugs are worked out I am sure more will agree how great this game actually is.

Una curiosa debolezza degli esseri umani è la convinzione che gli aspetti della nostra vita siano immutabili, che siano essi positivi o negativi. Ci riempiamo la bocca e le giornate di "per sempre" che non sono in nostro controllo per trovarci, prima o poi, di fronte alla costrizione di imparare a lasciar correre, di reinventarci depennando promesse di eternità. When the Past was Around tenta di parlare di tutto questo senza proferire parola: lo fa con una struttura da punta e clicca estremamente classico, a cui si affiancano una direzione artistica con un uso intelligente della musica e delle deliziose illustrazioni realizzate a mano. Il risultato è un titolo che scorre via in un paio d'ore, migliorabile sotto l'aspetto puramente ludico e nel design dei suoi enigmi, ma che ha dalla sua il pregio di essere significativo.

Intelligente e ben strutturato, ma con qualche pecca Partisans 1941 è un gioco estremamente ben congegnato e strutturato, con una grande cura per il dettaglio in tutte le sue parti: grafica, gameplay, ambientazione. Può vantare storia e personaggi profondi, una ricostruzione vivida del delicato scenario rappresentato e missioni complesse e articolate, ma anche appaganti da completare. Le sue pecche sono una scarsa chiarezza nel definire l'impatto delle azioni (che in un gioco basato sulla pianificazione è fondamentale) e alcuni lievi difetti di implementazione, che possono dar vita a situazioni potenzialmente frustranti. Inoltre si tratta di un gioco di una certa complessità, sul quale è necessario investire un po' di tempo per vincerne la curva di difficoltà e riuscire ad apprezzarne al massimo i contenuti. Non proprio per tutti, ma decisamente un buon investimento di tempo e denaro per chi è appassionato di giochi tattici in tempo reale. E anche per chi cerca una vicenda ed un'ambientazione ben caratterizzate, alle spalle di una solida struttura di gioco.
