Loin d’être un mauvais jeu, The Survivalists n’est clairement pas la pépite indépendante de cette fin d’année. Beaucoup trop de lourdeur pour un seul jeu. Malgré une direction artistique soignée, la mayonnaise ne prend pas. Après un The Escapists qui avait clairement été encensé par la critique, la suite spirituelle n’est pas au niveau.

9 Monkeys of Shaolin è un buon progetto adatto soprattutto ai giocatori di vecchia data grazie a una formula che pesca a piene mani dalla tradizione del genere di riferimento senza rivoluzionare nulla. Nonostante ciò, presenta qualche piccola innovazione da non sottovalutare e, al netto di alcuni inciampi sui quali soprassedere, potrebbe destare curiosità anche tra i meno avvezzi, promettendo scontri frenetici e spettacolari all’insegna del kung-fu.
