Windbound makes an admirable attempt at bridging the gap between an unguided survival experience and a narrative adventure, and it almost gets there. The core building blocks are there, and they’re all fun, but they don’t always gel in a way that works. Like the ocean waves that seem to almost consciously work against Kara, the ebb and flow of the game works to disrupt the player’s journey more than it carries it. There’s a genuinely good game here with a great story to tell and when it shines, it truly shines, but that makes its shortcomings all the more frustrating.

Aside from the lack of online co-op, Battletoads is put together beautifully, with tremendous hand animated graphics, well written and witty storyline, and tight controls which made me very happy as I was fighting my way through the enemies.

inXile va enfin pouvoir faire aimer un VRAI Fallout à tout un chacun. Avoir réussi le pari de transformer le genre pour le rendre accessible à tous est extraordinaire et permet de rendre ses lettres de noblesse à un style que l'on ne voyait que trop peu. Tout est en place pour aller rafler un maximum de prix cette année car, qu'il s'agisse du scénario à la bande originale en passant par le mode coop, tout est réalisé à la perfection. Ne passez pas à côté de ce véritable prétendant au jeu de l'année, chapeau bas !

Uno strategico che mi ha personalmente convinto ma che fa qualche sacrificio di troppo sull'altare della semplificazione. Se si ama l'ambientazione è certamente meritevole di attenzione ma si deve tener presente la produzione a basso budget e dettagli come un relativamente ridotto numero di unità.

Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars is a dark and bloody turn based strategy that hits the mark with lore, artwork, story, and music. The battles can use some work with not only making maps a bit bigger to give more strategic choices, but also the difficulty that ramps up significantly. The addition of cards in battle is quite fun, but lackluster on the map. But if you’re a fan of vampires, I think you’ll enjoy IR. Immortal Realms is currently on Steam for $39.99.
