Madden NFL 21 is a solid product. It excels in several areas, like the presentation and Ultimate Team. The core gameplay is as fun and smooth as it’s ever been, and I’ve been playing since Madden NFL 2005. But the new jewels in the crown are flawed and need to be polished a bit more. Face Of The Franchise and The Yard both have tons of potential, but they aren’t realized here. Content updates may help with The Yard, but in the end it’s like scoring a touchdown but missing the extra point.

Teasé dans le jeu de base à travers plusieurs documents, Alan Wake tient dans AWE un rôle central. Malheureusement, au-delà du fait de replonger dans l'univers de Bright Falls et du plaisir de retrouver un vieil ami, ce contenu met en surbrillance un certain relâchement de Remedy. Moins inventif que The Foundation, trop occupé à saupoudrer l'aventure de fan service du début à la fin, au point de délaisser la plupart des autres aspects du jeu, AWE s'avère décevant sur bien des points. Certes, on profitera une fois encore de la maîtrise des Finlandais en matière de gunfights, on esquissera plusieurs sourires complices en entendant parler d'Emil Hartman, Thomas Zane ou Cauldron Lake, mais derrière ce name dropping omniprésent, se cache surtout un manque d'originalité ou même d'ambition autre que celle d'officialiser le RCU afin d'imbriquer les univers de Control et d'Alan Wake.

Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is an almost great update on the original. While the game itself is still fantastic and the new content is fun, the online only multiplayer leaves a lot to be desired in terms of quality and features.

Wasteland 3 è una nuova razione dello storico franchise di inXile Entertainment, che non ne stravolge la formula di successo ma, al netto di alcune asperità sotto il profilo della complessità e delle limitazioni proprie di un titolo dal budget almeno in partenza ancora evidentemente contenuto, la perfeziona e ammoderna. Sotto il profilo del funzionamento e della pura tecnica è facilmente il miglior capitolo della serie, uno che ne esemplifica a dovere il potenziale e per paradosso, da terzo episodio qual è, un buon punto di partenza per approcciarsi ai giochi di ruolo della casa americana.

Sporadically, games running on the Unity Engine exhibit visual sacrifices or long loading times. Fortunately, that’s not the case with Kandagawa Jet Girls, which demonstrates a comprehensive commitment to polish. On PC, the game arrives with a launcher that permits players to adjust elements like resolutions (720p-1080p), framerates (30,60,120,144, and unlimited), anti-aliasing, as well as attributes like shadow quality, bloom, and depth of field effects. While Jet Girls might not exhibit speed, it’s brightly-hued milieu and enchanting character art and modeling are every bit as proficient as the work in the Senran Kagura franchise. Some might argue that Kandagawa bests the ninja-girls, by flaunting a multitude of different body types. Although the music offers the typical upbeat melodies to help drive the action, it’s the game’s voice acting that’s the real aural star. From playful writing to eye grabbing visuals, Kandagawa Jet Girls nails the secondary qualities. But when it comes to delivering intense, jet-skiing action, the game isn’t as proficient. Sure, you’ll have a bit of fun with Rin, Misa, and the rest of the girls. But with a notable lack of challenge, don’t expect the enjoyment to last past the season. This is a cheery summer fling, that you’ll probably forget about in the fall.
