The biggest downfall of Mind Control Delete is also its slogan: MORE. The gameplay is still great, but the focus on quantity over quality makes the experience feel shallow.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete è la conseguenza estrema del gioco originale, ossia un'idea ancora vincente ma inevitabilmente derivata, che pur rimanendo sublime nella sua essenza, inizia a mostrare alcuni inevitabili limiti, come il faticare enormemente ad allontanarsi da se stesso o, più precisamente, ad ampliarsi, assumendo un respiro differente. È come un copione già scritto: un Superhot non può che contenere elementi meta videoludici e arroccarsi nel suo stile, eccelso ma già digerito e apparentemente impossibile da superare. Un Superhot è sempre Superhot, insomma, e Mind Control Delete riesce a compiacere la formula del capostipite, ma non a dire qualcosa di suo. È un po' come quei comici che ripropongono una battuta già fatta: magari fa ancora ridere, ma non come la volta precedente.
