Snakeybus is fun, for sure. Seeing our bus stretching out behind us, ever increasing as we drop passengers off and weaving in and out buildings is oddly satisfying. If only there had been a little something extra to alleviate the fact that it’s hook gets old far too quickly.

Capcom n’a pas voulu retomber dans l’hommage facile avec le remake de Resident Evil 3. Sa réadaptation transpire la modernité et troque les vieux relents de la saga pour un gameplay d’une souplesse bienvenue, servant ici une intrigue passable, davantage orientée sur l’action. Globalement, l’aventure est intense (merci Nemesis) mais se révèle trop courte, donnant l’impression de rester sur sa faim. Là est le propre des fuites, elles ne peuvent pas s’éterniser. Ce choix loin d’être anodin sous-entend néanmoins que Capcom a pris beaucoup plus de libertés par rapport à l’opus original. Et la firme nippone n’a pas hésité à retailler son joyau, retirant des éléments pour mieux polir certaines parties. De quoi y voir une trahison ? Peut-être. Mais il ne faudrait pas prêter à Resident Evil 3 une autre ambition qu’une course-poursuite haletante entre une héroïne à bout de souffle et une arme biologique indestructible. Sur ce point, la mission est remplie haut la main.

The source material already had its problems, but this disappointing remake manages to make Resident Evil 3 seem even less inspired than it was originally.

Resident Evil 3 is a play for our imagination as much as our memory. It understands that the fear we felt long ago didn’t fade; it took root in our brains and mutated into myth. And this is what it might look like.

While enjoyable and filled with plenty to enjoy, Resident Evil 3 unfortunately feels like an uneven mishmash of horror and action. It wants to do two things at once and while it does them in a passable way, it doesn't always feel like it reaches its full potential especially when following in the footsteps of Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Bleeding Edge has a solid foundation as a melee-focused multiplayer action game that tries to appeal to the masses, but it is a bit short on content, and has a few notable issues that need resolving. Within such a highly competitive genre, hopefully changes arrive sooner rather than later, if the game is to have a shot at longevity.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 adds more to the Musou formula, giving players a chance to re-experience the familiar story while adding in original content for replayability. All that adds up to a fun way to kill some time and become King of the Pirates.

Véritablement enthousiasmant, Dead or School revient d'une époque où l'on s'embarrassait peu de questions techniques, la jouabilité ultra régressive est un plaisir immédiat qui apporte une satisfaction jouissive ; y jouer est un acte transgressif d'amour. Reste la question douloureuse d'un prix bien trop élevé et en désaccord total avec l'expérience hors-norme du jeu. En dehors de ces considérations dérisoires, Dead or School c'est de l'alcool en guise de lubrifiant.
