Despite its accessibility, Red Bow is not going to be for everyone. This isn’t just because of its darker themes, but its rigid, basic structure that shifts between item gathering and NPC interaction. Even at the $5 asking price, it’s tough to recommend to anyone but those who really fancy horror adventures with ample reading.

Arc of Alchemist features repetitive combat, tired tropes, an empty world, and a poorly thought out and written story. There is nothing interesting in this package, just skip it.

I had a rather great time with Journey to the Savage Planet. With bright visuals full of colour and character sucking you in and some funny, engaging writing encouraging progression, Typhoon have done a solid job on their first outing. Great exploration and combat are just the icing on the cake, with more than enough to do to keep you coming back for some time.

Ash of Gods Redemption non può che essere considerato come una grande occasione sprecata di offrire agli amanti dei GDR tattici di questa categoria, un’esperienza differente, innovativa. AurumDust sembra aver giocato in difesa, prendendo forse un po’ troppa ispirazione da The Banner Saga. Lo stile grafico, il gameplay, alcuni elementi della trama rimandano in maniera palese al titolo moscovita. Poche sono le novità inserite, come le carte per le abilità o il cambiamento di ambientazione, di impronta più medievale. Inoltre sono stati poco curati alcuni aspetti fondamentali per questo genere, come la narrazione interna che appare molto lunga, rendendo il gioco pesante per colpa anche di un sistema di combattimento molto squilibrato. Tirando le somme, Ash of Gods Redemption non è certamente un pessimo titolo: un gioco piacevole e interessante, con una trama convincente. Rimane un sapore amaro in bocca, per qualcosa che poteva essere e non è stato, con un leggero retrogusto di già visto.

Ash of Gods: Redemption riprende in tutto e per tutto la formula di The Banner Saga, ma non riesce a eguagliare la produzione di Stoic soprattutto sotto il profilo narrativo, che non convince appieno per via di dialoghi un po' stentati. La formula di gioco è comunque ancora abbastanza appagante e può soddisfare chi cerca un'altra esperienza di quel genere, ma per chi è invece alla ricerca di una bella esperienza narrativa col giusto mix di tattica e strategia il consiglio è di buttarsi direttamente sul ben più riuscito The Banner Saga.

Ash of Gods Redemption deja muy claro de dónde toma sus referencias, y aunque no esté a la altura de la propuesta de Stoic, nos deja por delante un título con una historia muy definida, que cuenta con un sistema de combate por turnos para desarrollar los enfrentamientos en la historia que, aunque quizá en algunos momentos las consecuencias de las decisiones puedan parecer muy predecibles, cuenta con un mundo de juego y una narrativa excepcional, además de la banda sonora y su estilo visual muy ricos, donde quizá el único handicap será acomodarse al control con el mando.
