Code Vein is an okay, albeit easy soulslike game. If you’re more of an anime fan, the in-depth character customisation and flashy combat will get you hooked. And tolerate the rather predictable story. If you’re a soulslike fan, the game’s simple map design and relatively easier gameplay can be a turn-off. Code Vein is more for anime fans that want to dabble with soulslike, rather than anime Dark Souls.

Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is the perfect example of one decision ruining any chance a game had of being reasonable. An X-COM style real-time tactics game where you can only use one character per turn, which limits tactical options and essentially grinds the game to a halt as soon as you take to the field. Compounded by moronic AI in repetitive missions that are made so easy the squad-building and permadeath is rendered pointless. The game has a few interesting aspects, such as a unique third-person shooter twist on overwatch mechanics found in other games. All in all, this isn't the way to experience Narcos - watch the show instead.

Pendulo Studios ci aveva abituati a ben altro: puzzle intricati dai vecchi Hollywood Monsters, o simpatici siparietti per spezzare l'atmosfera come nella serie di Runaway. All'effettivo il comparto narrativo di Blacksad: Under the Skin è l'unica cosa che riesce a giustificare il possibile acquisto del gioco, perché allo stato attuale il comparto tecnico è veramente disastroso, e anche a livello puramente ludico-investigativo zoppica parecchio, risultando molto semplice nelle deduzioni e anche troppo guidato. Purtroppo è la seconda volta che un attesissimo gioco Microids viene crivellato da problemi del genere (vedi Syberia 3), e ci chiediamo se non sia proprio il publisher francese a perdere smalto in queste grandi occasioni. Consigliamo il gioco solamente agli amanti del personaggio, o a chi vuole godersi una bella storia passando sopra a numerosi bug (e al rigiocare di forza alcune scene).
