While titled Firework Thrower Kantaro is undoubtedly entertaining, SUNSOFT is Back’s other offerings probably won’t hold your attention for long. If you’re obsessed with owning a trio of localized Eighties-era oddities, Retro Game Selection might be worth a look. But for most players, there’s other eight-bit titles more deserving of your time and money.

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is an absolutely phenomenal driving experience when it works. Each car is unique and you spend so much time with them that you form a real bond with your machines. Races are hard-fought and the neon streets of Hong Kong Island fun enough to explore in free roam. Unfortunately, a variety of technical issues hamper the experience, and the lifestyle elements and overall atmosphere of Hong Kong Island leave much to be desired. This is an ongoing, live service game with many seasons planned, so hopefully a lot of these issues can be ironed out. Until then, though, it’s still a pleasure to drive around in your favourite car, just soaking up the road.

As the often overlooked and underappreciated cousin of the Ace Attorney series, Investigations holds a certain mystique that may have been missed by most casual fans. The change in formula and lack of a sequel translation meant that it was hard to invest in, and so it missed the opportunity to be praised alongside the more mainline entries. But this remaster has done all the right things to right such wrongs, easily communicating that Edgeworth is every bit as enjoyable as his spikier haired adversary – with a fun tale that steps comfortably out of the courtroom and onto the global stage.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions’ simplistic gameplay and barebones content are fun for a couple of hours, but provide little more depth than it likely would have as a minigame in Hogwarts Legacy.

Astro Bot captures all of the strong points of a brand new puppy. It’s cute, playful, and doggedly loyal to PlayStation’s history. While it still has room to grow into its legs and sharpen its teeth, most missteps are easily forgiven. I mean, just look at it!

Astro Bot del Team Asobi è un inno ai videogiochi e all'atto stesso di giocare: il robottino di PlayStation 5 si trova al centro del primo platform che si può davvero definire di nuova generazione, un'opera realizzata con una cura maniacale allo scopo di rendere un grande omaggio all'intera storia del genere. Poggiando le fondamenta su una progettazione dei livelli impeccabile e una realizzazione tecnica semplicemente perfetta, srotola un tappeto di idee, di meccaniche e di momenti meravigliosi che non cessano mai di stupire e scioccare, dall'istante del primo avvio fino allo scorrere dei titoli di coda. La consacrazione della squadra di Nicolas Doucet, che ha ancora un ragionevole margine di miglioramento, porta di fatto alla nascita di una nuova stella sul fronte di PlayStation, regalando finalmente a ogni genere di appassionato un'esperienza a dir poco imperdibile.

Astro regresa más fuerte que nunca. Team Asobi ha creado un juego que no solo celebra la historia de PlayStation, sino también la propia existencia de los fans. Astro Bot es un plataformas que, a pesar de seguir siempre el mismo hilo, logra sorprender al jugador de forma constante y despertar en él multitud de emociones diferentes.

Dopo le ottime sensazioni avute in sede di anteprima, anche sulla lunga distanza Astro Bot si conferma un platform 3D eccellente, accessibile a tutti ma capace di soddisfare anche i giocatori più esigenti se lo si vuole completare al 100%. Pur non raggiungendo l'ampiezza di Super Mario Odyssey, il gioco di Team Asobi offre un'esperienza sempre divertente e variegata, con controlli e fluidità impeccabili, idee di gameplay innovative e frizzanti e un'esplorazione di livelli ricchi di dettagli e segreti gratificante. Nonostante qualche limite di secondo piano (ricompense per le monete, livello di difficoltà basso per i patiti di platform 3D), Astro Bot si rivela quindi un'esclusiva PS5 di alto livello e capace di intrattenere con un bel sorriso perenne stampato in viso per 13-15 ore.
