I know it feels like I’ve criticised eFootball PES 2020 a lot, but ugly menus and a slight lack of ambition can be forgiven when the on-field action is this awesome. Thanks to first-class animations, incredible shooting, and brilliant build-up play, PES has arguably never been more enjoyable to play. Presentation and licensing shortcomings rear their ugly heads for another year, but in spite of the overly safe returns of Master League and MyClub, this is a generous footy package. When it comes to class-leading quality on the pitch, PES is still in a league of its own.

Estamos antes la entrega más realista de toda la saga. Le faltan licencias, pero su jugabilidad lo compensa. Si buscáis un simulador puro, el título de Konami satisfará vuestras necesidades, pero si preferís un estilo de juego más directo y rápido, tal vez no os termine de convencer. Además, si os gusta la competición, disfrutaréis de lo lindo porque esta entrega está pensada especialmente para competir contra otros jugadores en línea. Eso sí, se queda algo corto en cuanto a modos de juego.

PES stagne, et ça se voit maintenant très clairement. Malgré les touches de peintures ici et là, cette édition ne trompe personne et la Master League, le online et le gameplay demeurent furieusement semblables à ce qu’ils étaient l’an dernier. La construction appuyée plaît à nombreux de footeux virtuels, mais prendre du recul sur l’évolution de la série permet de douter de ses orientations. A-t-on affaire à une véritable philosophie de jeu, ou plutôt à l’incapacité d’un moteur à gérer autre chose qu’une circulation de balle lente et posée ? Du 720p à la 4K, PES se pare de douceurs visuelles qui ne suffisent plus à masquer un football sympatoche, mais au moins aussi limité et artificiel que celui de son concurrent direct. Konami comme EA devront tôt ou tard revoir leur copie en profondeur, histoire d’éviter que l’achat par défaut actuel ne finisse par sauter une édition ou deux.

Astral Chain successfully combines great action, exploration, and puzzles together with a strong narrative. Despite a few problems with pacing and repetition, it's a fun, engaging, and above all original experience.

L’ultimo gioco di Spiders riesce a sollevarsi dalla terribile mediocrità che avviluppava The Techomancer, ma lo fa con uno sforzo che sebbene encomiabile non è ancora abbastanza vigoroso. Greedfall è il figlio di un processo creativo con ambizioni evidentemente spropositate che hanno finito per infrangersi drammaticamente. Il gioco porta infatti in grembo una serie piuttosto lunga di buone idee, ma solo poche di esse sbocciano davvero, mentre le altre vengono accantonate in un angolo, insolute. Al titolo del team francese non si possono comunque negare degli elogi legati ad alcuni guizzi mostrati nelle fasi di dialogo, alle quest secondarie, che quasi mai hanno una funzione di riempitivo, e ad uno stile molto particolare che si fonde con tematiche interessanti, purtroppo non sfruttate fino in fondo. Se dunque vi intrigano le premesse e non vi curate troppo dei suoi aspetti più grezzi e di qualche idea non proprio brillante, Greedfall potrebbe essere un’esperienza che vale la pena giocare.
