Ancestors Legacy vindt zijn weg naar de console en weet daar prima een plek te veroveren tussen het kleine aantal succesvolle console RTS games. Door een compleet herontwerp van de UI en het besturingsschema is de game zeer overzichtelijk op een televisiescherm en kun je zonder al te veel moeite multitasken; een must in een base-building RTS. Toch lijdt de game onvermijdelijk onder langzaam camerawerk en is het gebrek aan de precisie van een muis voelbaar in grote gevechten. Zelfs met de handige knoppencombinaties om eenheden mee te besturen is micromanagement een zware opgave. De singleplayer is vermakelijk om doorheen te spelen, maar voor de volle tactische ervaring, zeker in multiplayer, ben je beter uit op de PC.

Doom en Doom II blijven absoluut klassiekers, maar het is jammer dat de muziek langzamer is dan dat we gewend zijn. Doom 3 heeft de tand des tijds prima doorstaan en voor een game uit 2004 ziet het er nog steeds prima uit. Alle drie de games zijn de moeite waard, zeker gezien de prijs, maar met name de laatste is een echte aanrader.

Madden NFL 20, c’est l’assurance d’avoir un jeu de football américain à jour avec la saison. C’est aussi un gameplay plutôt bien conçu, et qui s’est encore une fois amélioré depuis l’année précédente. Mais clairement, si vous hésitez entre garder votre ancien jeu ou le nouveau, ce sera à vous de voir en fonction de l’intérêt que vous portez du côté des nouveautés.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is a very successful throwback to the days of dogfighting games like Star Wars: X-Wing and Wing Commander: Privateer. It smartly updates the gameplay with optional assists that make it a snap to jump in and get right to the most satisfying parts of the action. This open area of space we’re free to defend or exploit is full of side activities (including a crazy ship-painting tool), and those blunt the inherent repetition of fighter-vs-fighter combat scenarios. And the story – while definitely padded out more than it needs to be – is suitably small-scale and personal for a mercenary/smuggler type like Juno Markev.

En conclusion, même si les combats auraient pu être beaucoup mieux pensés, ce bémol n’empêche pas de passer un très bon moment sur Dragon Quest Builders 2. Square Enix et Koie Tecmo ont réalisé un jeu de construction très complet qui n'a rien à envier au roi du genre, Minecraft. Ce second opus vous promet de longues heures devant votre écran que ça soit pour venir à bout de la trame principale ou simplement pour laisser libre cours à votre imagination. Un RPG à univers cubique 3D que l'on peut savourer un bon moment.
