Términos como 'DLC' o incluso 'expansión' se quedan muy cortos y son hasta insultantes cuando se usan para hablar de Shadow of the Erdtree. Porque a medida que juegas, te das cuenta de que lo que ha hecho FromSoftware está más cerca de ser Elden Ring 1.5 que un mero contenido descargable. Parecía imposible, pero se han vuelto a superar.

Shadow of the Erdtree gives all you Elden Ring masochists out there exactly what you want – a sombre, grandiose story which is more than meets the eye and a gorgeous new land to explore with a ludicrous amount of nooks and crannies in which to get lost and/or killed. It is a chainmail gauntlet thrown casually at your feet daring you to pick it up – if you thought FromSoft was running out of new ways to torture you, then let Shadow of the Erdtree convince you otherwise. This DLC is as expansive in size and scope as some full games, and represents the work of a studio at the height of its power, a studio showing little sign of slowing down anytime soon.

Hay buenas ideas en Horror Tales: The Beggar. La ambición de Carlos Coronado es más que evidente, al apostar por un apartado técnico tan potente o una gran variedad de mecánicas. Ahora bien, durante el juego he tenido la sensación de estar más ante una demo técnica que un juego completo. Muchas ideas y tecnologías destacadas, pero que nunca llegan a explotarse al máximo ni mucho menos. El resultado es una aventura con potencial, que entretiene, pero podría haber dado muchísimo más de sí. Al parecer, en la siguiente entrega de Horror Tales, el terror se abandonará, y se continuará una vez más la historia cambiando de registro. Espero que algunas de las ideas aquí presentadas, ya sean los puzzles con físicas o la manipulación del clima, se exploten de una manera más interesante. Porque claramente hay mucho talento y grandes ideas, pero falta terminar de pulirlas para estar ante algo memorable.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree è un'espansione che rende l'esperienza di Elden Ring ancora più maestosa e profonda, aggiungendo di fatto un intero gioco in un mondo già di per sé vasto, dettagliato e artisticamente meraviglioso, con una varietà di ambienti e biomi che offrono contenuti di livello elevatissimo. L'espansione non è priva di difetti, riciclo di nemici e limitazioni tecniche possono risultare frustranti, ma al tempo stesso i passi in avanti nell'intricato world design e nella correzione dei difetti del gioco base sono evidenti e straordinari. Shadow of the Erdtree si dimostra il DLC più ambizioso e ricco mai creato da FromSoftware, offrendo nuove avventure per 25-40 ore di gioco in un mondo aperto caratterizzato da una inedita verticalità e da una densità esplorativa sorprendente. È un'espansione imprescindibile per chi ha amato Elden Ring e vuole un enorme contenuto da endgame di enorme spessore, impegnativo e nuovo. Assicuratevi di entrarci ben livellati se siete in NG+, però.

Shadow of the Erdtree delivers more of the same style of content you loved two years ago rather than introducing new ways to engage. That's enough to consider it a fantastic expansion, though it's hard not to feel like you're just going through the motions again. With a new land to explore, a fresh set of bosses to fight, and extra lore to consume, it's so much more Elden Ring.

Shadow of the Erdtree sarà disponibile dal 21 giugno e sia che siate Senzaluce navigati o aspiranti stermina dei, non potete mancare questo appuntamento. Il rapporto tra vastità dell’esperienza e densità di contenuti fa di quest’espansione un prodotto validissimo che ci ha tenuti letteralmente incollati allo schermo per decine e decine di ore. Le nuove armi, incantesimi e stregonerie inoltre arricchiscono moltissimo il già vasto elenco di strumenti a vostra disposizione e, in eventuali new game plus, vi sarà impossibile farne a meno. Il livello che ci sentiamo di consigliare per affrontare con relativa tranquillità quest’esperienza è il 150, che vi dovrebbe consentire di combattere contro Mohg, il Signore del Sangue senza penare troppo.

While the lack of new gameplay mechanics may disappoint some, don't let this deter you. Shadow of the Erdtree is every bit as good as the base game, and it is an essential purchase for all those who loved FromSoftware's amazing action role-playing game.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree è un contenuto che non deluderà affatto i fan del capolavoro di FromSoftware. Nonostante qualche leggerezza dedicata alla vuotezza di alcune zone, il nuovo contenuto offre davvero tanto. Parliamo di un contenuto ottimo di armi, armature, talismani, magie, oggetti, ceneri, e molto altro, ma anche e soprattutto contenuti legati alla trama e alla lore. La sfida è degna di questo nome, e alcune bossfight faranno davvero sudare anche i giocatori più agguerriti. Scongiurata la paura del bilanciamento grazie a una trovata ingegnosa, potrete portare avanti i contenuti del DLC anche mentre state continuando la vostra ascesa nell'Interregno. Lodevoli i nuovi legacy dungeon, molto meno quelli standard sparsi per la mappa.

Tout au long de l’aventure, Still Wakes The Deep parvient habilement à alimenter la tension qui guide le joueur. Une intrigue très bien narrée, des personnages attachants, des moments d’émotions, un gameplay classique mais parfaitement maitrisé, une entité menaçante, et un énorme travail fait sur l’immersion : le jeu de The Chinese Room a tout ce qu’il faut (ou presque) pour répondre aux attentes des plus fervents fans de survival-horror.
