Still Wakes the Deep es un juego muy interesante pero que por desgracia es difícil que llegue a marcaros si estáis acostumbrados a juegos de este tipo. La historia no está mal pero quizá se podría esperar algo más de desarrollo o algún giro único que no encontraremos. Por otro lado eso se compensa con la dinámica entre los personajes principales, el querer conocer el pasado de nuestra protagonista y la lograda ambientación gracias al uso de Unreal Engine 5 logra que pasemos un muy buen rato con este título, por lo que es recomendado si os gustan este tipo de propuestas y no vais esperando la mayor revolución.

Still Wakes the Deep is a short but effective game with brilliant performances, a deeply atmospheric setting and fun creature effects. Critics of the hand-holding found in the 'walking sim' genre likely won't be converted, but those looking for an engaging story they can play through in a night or two will strike oil with this one.

Términos como 'DLC' o incluso 'expansión' se quedan muy cortos y son hasta insultantes cuando se usan para hablar de Shadow of the Erdtree. Porque a medida que juegas, te das cuenta de que lo que ha hecho FromSoftware está más cerca de ser Elden Ring 1.5 que un mero contenido descargable. Parecía imposible, pero se han vuelto a superar.

I’m both happy and sad that Shadow of the Erdtree is the first and last expansion for Elden Ring. On one hand, it’s a masterfully woven experience that expands on the contents of the base game, whereas on the other it leaves much more to be desired with its disappointing final boss. That being said, it’s still very much worth your time if you’re craving some more Elden Ring.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree è un'espansione che rende l'esperienza di Elden Ring ancora più maestosa e profonda, aggiungendo di fatto un intero gioco in un mondo già di per sé vasto, dettagliato e artisticamente meraviglioso, con una varietà di ambienti e biomi che offrono contenuti di livello elevatissimo. L'espansione non è priva di difetti, riciclo di nemici e limitazioni tecniche possono risultare frustranti, ma al tempo stesso i passi in avanti nell'intricato world design e nella correzione dei difetti del gioco base sono evidenti e straordinari. Shadow of the Erdtree si dimostra il DLC più ambizioso e ricco mai creato da FromSoftware, offrendo nuove avventure per 25-40 ore di gioco in un mondo aperto caratterizzato da una inedita verticalità e da una densità esplorativa sorprendente. È un'espansione imprescindibile per chi ha amato Elden Ring e vuole un enorme contenuto da endgame di enorme spessore, impegnativo e nuovo. Assicuratevi di entrarci ben livellati se siete in NG+, però.

Shadow of the Erdtree s’impose comme une évidence. FromSoftware a pris son temps pour imaginer la première — et seule — extension d’Elden Ring, et la proposition dépasse les attentes. Portée par une direction artistique sans cesse surprenante, la nouvelle région s’appuie sur une architecture presque unique dans le paysage vidéoludique. Le DLC est un empilement de labyrinthes tous plus impressionnants les uns que les autres. Ces environnements très travaillés encouragent une exploration approfondie, matérialisant une course aux secrets et aux passages dérobés, entre des ennemis qui veulent notre mort. Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree magnifie le sentiment de liberté et la quête de découverte nés dans le jeu de base. Dommage, simplement, que le casting de boss n’ait pas bénéficié d’autant de soin.

Shadow of the Erdtree rappresenta un’espansione di proporzioni notevoli, imponente e intimidatoria, sebbene a tratti caratterizzata da una certa mancanza di equilibrio. È innegabile che alcuni boss non siano riusciti a soddisfare pienamente le aspettative, ma ciò non preclude il riconoscimento della sua qualità complessiva, dotata di un volume di gioco paragonabile a quasi metà di quello del titolo principale. Il ricco contenuto aggiuntivo sviluppato da FromSoftware si distingue per l’abbondanza di elementi da esplorare e scoprire, con particolare riguardo al contesto narrativo e alla lore, benché alcune scelte di design possano risultare opinabili. Nel complesso, è stata un’esperienza soddisfacente per la maggior parte del suo corso, rendendo l’acquisto un passaggio quasi obbligato per gli estimatori delle opere di From Software e, naturalmente, per i fan di Elden Ring.

With a slick presentation and an incredibly fun combat system, all the right pieces are here for The Rogue Prince of Persia’s success. But while running on walls and zooming through enemies are fast-paced joys, the repetition you’ll face and the faint whisper of a story that loosely ties things everything together wear thin far too quickly as of its Early Access launch. It will undoubtedly be fascinating to watch The Rogue Prince of Persia fill out as time goes on, but both bug fixes and more of pretty much every good thing need to be equal priorities in its upcoming updates to move the needle to something great. Some of that has already arrived, so I’m at least optimistic The Rogue Prince of Persia could have what it takes to one day become the next major roguelite favorite, but it’s pretty far from that goal where it sits now.

Shadow of the ErdTree un jeu vidéo en soi qui porte avec lui toutes les qualités du titre original. C’est vrai, on peut noter quelques imperfections. L’intrigue aurait mérité un poil plus de lumière des projecteurs. De la même manière, une carte plus lisible n’aurait pas fait défaut. Des points négatifs qui s’écrasent devant un level-design maîtrisé, un voyage renouvelant sans cesse la curiosité et des combats toujours épiques. Si l’Arbre Occulte de Shadow of the ErdTree est bien dans l’ombre de son homonyme de l’Entre-Terre, le DLC a tout pour briller sous les mêmes projecteurs que le jeu vidéo original. Shadow of the ErdTree, c’est bien plus que le contenu supplémentaire d’Elden Ring : c’est une aventure exceptionnelle à part entière. Et elle attend les joueurs le 21 juin prochain sur PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One et Xbox Series.
