Insomnis is a short lived affair, preferring to stake it’s thrills on tense atmosphere building and jump scares than combat or hide and seek scenarios. The tale it tells is entertainingly sad enough to pull us through the 2 hour runtime, and for the most part the puzzles are just on the right side of not quite too easy to make them enjoyable to complete. Some control issues and a mumbling protagonist sour things slightly, but on the whole we enjoyed our time with the game.

The roguelite format is perfect for VR. The short, run-based gameplay loop and incremental upgrade systems let you jump in, have a great time and jump out at a moment’s notice, which is exactly what I’ll be doing with Synapse for the foreseeable future. The smooth and responsive gunplay and outlandishly satisfying telekinetic abilities make combat a power fantasy that will be extremely hard to beat. The minuscule weapon selection and garrison of goons hurt the overall package, sure, but when you take the gameplay and add a visual style that’s kind on the eyes and serves a practical purpose, you have a VR shooter that any self-respecting PSVR2 owner needs to have in their library.

Con i suoi vibranti guizzi di colore e l'eccellente utilizzo del tracciamento oculare nella gestione della telecinesi, Synapse si distingue come una delle produzioni che sfruttano al meglio le potenzialità e le caratteristiche peculiari di PlayStation VR 2. Nonostante la generale mancanza di varietà, il gioco di nDreams rimane uno shooter roguelite dal gameplay esplosivo e dal sistema di progressione ottimamente calibrato, in grado di mantenere vivo l’interesse dell’utente grazie a un buon livello di sfida e alla possibilità di sperimentare diversi stili di combattimento. La presenza di doppiatori di fama come David Hayter e Jennifer Hale aggiunge un tocco speciale, non tanto per la qualità della trama, quanto per la cura e l’attenzione con cui è stata confezionata l’intera esperienza, paragonabile a quella che ci si potrebbe aspettare da un titolo first party.

Es fácil hacer mella en Exoprimal: multijugador en línea con elementos PvP, precio premium, narrativa experimental; y encima, sus principales atractivos tardan un poco en salir. Capcom no lo tiene fácil con este juego, pero sí te diré que una vez se pone en marcha con nuevos mapas, dinosaurios y mods para las exoarmaduras, lo hace a lo grande. Miles de oponentes en pantalla, regodeándose en su propia escala y coqueteando con desafíos más y más poderosos. Pocos juegos sobre hordas fantasean de esta manera, y menos aún lo hacen en un ciclo tan adictivo: el juego te empuja de manera natural a competir, las victorias se notan mucho, e invadir a los oponentes con un dinosaurio para dar la vuelta a las partidas que van mal es genial.

AEW: Fight Forever nails the gameplay mechanics, but struggles in several other areas, with a lackluster presentation and gaps in the roster. It doesn't hit the lows some of the recent WWE 2K games, but it also can't match that series' current high.

Jagged Alliance 3 is a smartly-built, action-packed throwback tactical extravaganza that I enjoyed the whole way through. Its madcap sense of humor is very hit or miss – for me, it's usually miss. But for the most part, that doesn't hurt its ability to tell a story with just enough intrigue to keep you guessing, while not overcomplicating things too much. The huge variety of distinct characters, hand-built tactical maps, and objectives assure that a long campaign never goes stale, with limited but meaningful merc progression that let me build my dream squad and play almost exactly how I wanted to, with the added tension of trying to keep them alive through each combat encounter. If you know your way around a squad management game you may want to turn the campaign difficulty up a notch for your first playthrough, but even when you're rolling in cash, this lead-slinging blow-out is a hell of a good time.

Difficile de nier notre petite déception face à Exoprimal. Plutôt agréable à jouer et proposant de nombreuses possibilités tactiques dans le jeu d'équipe, sans oublier des phases tout simplement démentes avec des milliers de dinosaures à affronter, force est de constater que Capcom n'a pas choisi la bonne structure : le seul et unique mode de jeu à répéter en boucle a de quoi rendre fou toute la première partie du jeu et même pendant la seconde. Un contenu plus solide, une campagne solo plus traditionnelle, une écriture plus digeste et tout simplement plus de choses à faire ou à débloquer (autre que des skins qui poussent à acheter le pass de combat) auraient été très judicieux pour en faire un jeu plaisant sur la durée. Il faudra probablement revenir dans quelques mois, quand Capcom aura livré une vraie variété à travers les saisons promises… mais en l'état, Exoprimal s'apparente à un dinosaure pas loin de n'avoir que de la gueule.

Jagged Alliance 3 constitue un choix judicieux dans le domaine des jeux tactiques, malgré quelques problèmes d'équilibrage. Le jeu procure du plaisir du début à la fin, tout en étant un véritable hommage au cinéma d'action des années 80 et 90. On s'attend presque à voir Stallone et Schwarzenegger apparaître à chaque début de mission. C'est divertissant, esthétiquement accompli et surtout, c'est exaltant.

Jagged Alliance 3 si è rivelato essere il ritorno in grande stile di una saga che meritava un certo tipo di trattamento, il cui risultato finale soddisfa adeguatamente – quasi – ogni più rosea aspettativa. Uno strategico che trova il modo di amalgamare sparatorie a turni e fasi gestionali con una certa meticolosa attenzione per i dettagli, seppur non si riesca in ogni situazione ad avere il controllo su ciò che avviene su schermo. Nel complesso, il gioco rappresenta così una proposta interessante, soprattutto per la sua capacità di premiare la pianificazione dentro e fuori il campo di battaglia. Sicuramente ill brand di THQ Nordic sta tornando sui binari giusti.

Jagged Alliance 3 marks a long-awaited triumphant return for the franchise, with the last undeniably great release being Jagged Alliance 2 over twenty years ago. Creating an exceptional balance on both a strategic and tactical level, bringing back character attributes and progression, an entire inventory system, perks and more, forcing you to balance your broader economy and ensuring you can't just sit back - Haemimont Games have successfully created a game that will challenge, that I have found compelling and fun, and one that has kept me hooked into a "just one more day" loop and a few very late nights at that.

Gylt pesca a piene mani dalle lezioni impartite da Silent Hill e Alan Wake proponendone una crasi estremamente edulcorata. Per tematiche trattate, art design, struttura dei livelli e soluzioni ludiche proposte, il gioco di Tequila Works può ritenersi in tutto e per tutto un entry level dei giochi horror. Nel suo essere profondamente derivativo e privo di trovate originali, il gioco palesa comunque un carattere tutto suo. Lo fa con una trama che affronta di petto il tema del bullismo in età giovanile e con uno stile artistico efficace e brillante quanto basta. Può essere il battesimo di fuoco per giovani videogiocatori a caccia di un'esperienza vagamente terrificante, meglio se fruita comunque in compagnia di un adulto, o per utenti più attempati ma in cerca di un'avventura mai cruenta e particolarmente impegnativa. In ogni caso, la missione di salvataggio di Sally vi intratterrà più che a dovere per la mezza dozzina di ore che impiegherete a raggiungere i titoli di coda. Solo non aspettatevi nulla di particolarmente originale o geniale.
