La direction artistique est trop inspirée de ses prédécesseurs, mais Boxes reste un bon jeu de puzzle avec une difficulté assez bien dosée pour se creuser les méninges en s'amusant.

Bloodshore non risolleva certo la nomea storica che i videogiochi in FMV si sono fatti nel corso del tempo. Si tratta di in buona sostanza di un film interattivo nel quale l'unità attività ludica è la selezione delle scelte del protagonista, al centro di bivi narrativi non particolarmente frequenti e che solo in determinati casi sembrano avere un reale peso sullo sviluppo della vicenda. La storia, nonostante poggi su basi tutt'altro che originali, risulta funzionale alle finalità della produzione, sebbene il suo sviluppo appaia fin troppo frettoloso, tanto da indebolire i colpi di scena che caratterizzano le fasi avanzate dell’avventura. La rigiocabilità è comunque assicurata dalla presenza di diverse centinaia di sequenze da sbloccare e di finali alternativi, sebbene il destino di certi personaggi e lo sviluppo di alcune vicende sia sostanzialmente immodificabile. I filmati FMV sono comunque ben realizzati e le musiche di sottofondo garantiscono la giusta atmosfera, ma difficilmente vi faranno chiudere un occhio sulle fasi d’azione poco adrenaliniche, tra l'altro meno frequenti di quanto fosse lecito aspettarsi in un titolo con queste premesse narrative. In definitiva, Bloodshore è un titolo capace di offrire qualche sussulto di nostalgia ai fan delle vecchie produzione in FMV, con una proposta che risulta però tutt'altro che memorabile.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged ripropone la formula immediata e divertente che ha funzionato così bene nel primo episodio, aggiungendo alcune novità più o meno rilevanti, aumentando i contenuti del pacchetto e la varietà delle gare, ma soprattutto portando avanti un'idea efficace pur nella sua semplicità, che immaginiamo saprà conquistare anche stavolta il pubblico che ha premiato la serie al suo debutto.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged è un sequel degno di questo nome! Il team non cambia le carte in tavola, poiché quanto fatto con il predecessore è lodevole, bensì ci si è concentrati sull’arricchimento dell’esperienza senza stravolgere l’apprezzato racing-arcade approdato sul mercato due anni fa. Le critiche mosse per la poca varietà delle modalità vengono spazzate via da nuovi innesti assolutamente di valore, e la volontà di concentrarsi maggiormente sull’online è una mossa importante che delinea la volontà di espandere ulteriormente il verbo delle Hot Wheels nel segno di Milestone. Le dinamiche di collezionismo e personalizzazione ritrovate e rinnovate accendono ancor di più la voglia di correre tra i folli percorsi a disposizione, mentre le nuove meccaniche di guida aggiungono ulteriore pepe alle gare senza snaturare il gameplay, che viene naturalmente arricchito e apre a nuove interessanti soluzioni di design. Insomma, il nuovo Hot Wheels Unleashed è ciò che ci si aspetterebbe da un sequel di un già ottimo gioco, e come il suo predecessore, resta da capire quanto nel tempo l’interesse dei giocatori possa contribuire al suo rendimento (e dunque al suo ciclo vitale), tenendo conto che la componente di creazione e condivisione è più accentuata rispetto al passato. Dal canto nostro, non abbiamo dubbi che quanto proposto allo stato attuale da Milestone sia di pregevole fattura, restituendo un racing-arcade immediato, veloce, divertente e colorato che tutti gli appassionati dovrebbero provare. Allo stato attuale delle cose, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 è il racing-arcade più mozzafiatante in circolazione!

Una proposta ludica su Agatha Christie Assassinio sull’Orient Express che sul lato narrativo risulta godibile e ben proposto, ma che sulla parte di game design, invece, non arrivo all’obiettivo prefissato. Al netto dei difetti sopraelencati, però, la produzione coinvolge in modo discreto e riesce a offrire diverse ore di gioco. Peccato per la poca profondità.

Endless Dungeon est un Rogue Like / Tower Defense incroyablement intelligent. Le jeu propose un univers réussi, tant au niveau du gameplay proposé que de la direction artistique choisie par les développeurs. On salue franchement le mélange de genre qui fait mouche et qui s’avère réellement complémentaire. On apprécie également la coopération mise en place qui apporte une réelle plus-value. On regrette simplement l’absence de l’une ou l’autre possibilité en ligne ainsi que le bug qui nous aura freiné dans notre progression, mais pour le reste, c’est pratiquement un sans-faute !

In all, Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue isn’t a game that I would see as a thriller. It’s more of a social sim that spans over 160+ days. The moment things start heating up you would have to put in at least 3 hours, and that’s if you can endure all the constant days where you force yourself to make boring conversations with the other contestants. The writing itself feels very boring/rushed, the endings feel unfair to the characters in terms of how to reach them, and the story itself doesn’t prove to be exciting to me. It was as though I was only playing filler in order to reach pieces of the main course. After my time playing, the colorful cast and VA’s were the saving grace during my island experience.

The Gap is a stunning looking, well written, and engaging puzzle game, one that will have its hooks in within minutes and not let go. It can be a bit obtuse with the goals we’re looking to achieve (especially if your play sessions are spread out or get interrupted) but if you can keep in the zone, The Gap will reward you with a fantastic gaming experience.
