Complessivamente Sherlock Holmes The Awakened ripropone un classico della storia di Frogwares. Che per 40 euro mette sul piatto un nuovo appeal grafico e una trama maggiormente rifinita, oltre che inserita nel nuovo “corpus holmesiano”, capace di soddisfare quel prurito investigativo che tormenta i seguaci del detective londinese. Chi ha giocato l’originale del 2006 troverà comunque discrete motivazioni per affrontare questa avventura (magari aspettando qualche saldo), consci di tutte le migliorie ma anche di tutti i limiti che fanno di questo capitolo una produzione più lineare rispetto a Devil’s Daughter, Crimes and Punishment e Chapter One.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor est en tout point supérieur à Fallen Order. Une vraie grosse suite extrêmement généreuse à tous les niveaux, qui multiplie les nouveautés. Que ce soit en termes de structure, en offrant des régions infiniment plus vastes que le premier opus voire même carrément explorables comme des open world, ou encore au niveau du gameplay. Cal a beau être un Jedi accompli dès le départ, sa montée en puissance est nette tout au long du jeu. Les combats, tout comme l'exploration, profitent d’une tonne de nouveautés fort appréciables qui dynamisent totalement la recette et laissent encore une belle marge de manœuvre pour une éventuelle suite. Seule ombre au tableau, outre une technique encore chancelante, Jedi Survivor joue la carte de la facilité avec sa trame narrative au point de desservir totalement celle-ci et d'atténuer sa dimension dramatique. Certains twists et personnages sont enfoncés au chausse-pied et perdent aussi de leur superbe. Un excellent jeu à qui il ne manque finalement pas grand-chose pour être incontournable.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does so much right in continuing Cal Kestis' story, delivering the best lightsaber combat in a game to date along with some huge environments to explore. Sadly it's also launching with a bevy of technical issues and frame-rate problems that will provide the worst experience for early adopters. Players deserve better.

Como el alumno que logra superar al maestro, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ha aprendido de los aciertos y errores de su predecesor para convertirse en una secuela que es mejor en todo y nos deja algunos de los mejores momentos que hemos vivido en un juego de Star Wars, pero sigue lastrada por problemas técnicos.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor es una buena evolución de la fórmula que estableció Jedi: Fallen Order, creando un juego más complejo y ambicioso con otros referentes del medio en los que se inspira claramente. Es casi como tener dos juegos en uno, porque puedes seguir la campaña principal, más lineal, o perderte en su mundo abierto lleno de misiones, desafíos, puzles y secretos que descubrir. Esta exploración y plataformeo está al mejor nivel que he visto en un videojuego del estilo, pero en la acción y el combate hay todavía mucho que pulir, pues el juego abarca demasiado y termina con un sistema que no siempre es preciso a los mandos. El rendimiento y los bugs también merman la experiencia, sobre todo en el mundo abierto, pero es fácil terminar el juego con la satisfacción de haber vivido una gran aventura y que aún te queda mucho por descubrir.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor è un gioco migliore del capostipite, più ambizioso, elaborato e articolato, di più ampio respiro e in grado di far compiere un passo in avanti al franchise. Tutta questa grandezza si va però a scontrare con diversi limiti tecnici che evidenziano l'obsolescenza del motore grafico e la fretta di arrivare sul mercato. Un paio di mesi in più ai box avrebbero senz'altro dato un risultato diverso, migliore, ed è francamente un peccato che un gioiellino del genere non possa spiccare pienamente il volo nonostante la sua elevata caratura.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes what Fallen Order achieved and wall-runs with it, then double-jumps and air-dashes straight into an epic lightsaber battle. Rather than taking us back to square one to begin Cal’s journey as a Padawan again, we’re trusted with control of a full-fledged Jedi Knight who we can grow into a master of superhuman mobility and fantastic and challenging combat. With a new set of larger, more diverse, and densely packed worlds to explore and a memorable cast of returning characters, Survivor tells a story that may be predictable but is still fun and at times emotional to watch play out. Launch performance issues aside, it’s a sequel that does virtually everything better than the original – which was already an exceptional Star Wars game. If Respawn makes one more like this it’ll complete the best Star Wars trilogy in 30 years, hands down.

Afterimage is an action RPG with a massive world with tons of areas and hidden areas to explore. The story is very confusing, but the huge variety of enemies, weapons, and attacks make the game enjoyable to play.

Afterimage ne sort jamais des sillons laissés par ses pairs, et reste sans réelle prise de risque, mais il fait bien ce qu'il entreprend. Certes, si on se focalise sur le gameplay brut, on est en terrain archi connu, mais ce qu’on voit et ce qu’on entend nous émerveillent en permanence. Afterimage nous enchante sur la durée grâce à ses graphismes tape-à-l’œil et son univers attrayant qui gomment les défauts constatés sur la narration en retrait ou quelques problèmes de constructions/optimisation. Vous cherchez un titre qui vous en met plein les yeux (et les oreilles) ? Afterimage le fait sans détour ! Si vous voulez de l’originalité côté gameplay, ce n’est pas forcément le jeu adéquat.
