Uiuiui! Nach einer anfänglichen Euphoriephase, in der man der Meinung ist, dass den Larian Studios trotz Tearing und gelegentlichen Pop-Ups eine gute Umsetzung des düsteren Action-Rollenspiels gelungen ist, wird man technisch schnell auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurückgeholt. Und das bedeutet, dass man zwar farbenfrohe und gut aufgelöste Texturen genießen darf, dafür aber auch Pop-Ups, Ruckler und Fade-Ins in Kauf nehmen muss, die proportional zur Größe des Gebietes zunehmen. Im Gegenzug zeigen aber Steuerung und vor allem Benutzerführung mit übersichtlichen Menüs und optimierter Schriftdarstellung, dass man sich der Verantwortung bewusst war, der man sich mit der 360-Umsetzung ausgesetzt hat. Inhaltlich zeigt sich Divinity 2 mit seiner vielschichtigen Geschichte, der Möglichkeit, später auch als Drache spielen zu können, seiner gut aufgebauten Missions-Struktur sowie den Rätseln und allem, was die PC-Version auszeichnete, von seiner besten Seite. Daher sind die technischen Mängel umso bedauerlicher, da sie auf lange Sicht zu sehr an der Motivation nagen und damit ein prinzipiell spielenswertes Rollenspiel-Erlebnis zu einem Schattendasein inmitten zahlreicher anderer, technisch schwacher Umsetzungen verdammen.

Questo terzo episodio è il più folle tra quelli visti finora, ed è anche quello che capitalizza meglio la ricca eredità lasciatagli dalla vecchia serie di Monkey Island. Aggiungiamo inoltre che lo sviluppo della trama ha raggiunto proporzioni tali che potreste anche ignorare chi sia Guybrush Threepwood e godervi questa serie al meglio. Prima di questo episodio non lo pensavamo, ma ci stiamo ricredendo, grazie anche a un affollamento di personaggi secondari così ben riusciti da far pensare a un calo di popolarità del protagonista, che invece splende impeccabile, perfettamente a suo agio nei panni del direttore d'orchestra - o domatore di circo, fate un po' voi. Concorre inoltre alla riuscita del mix l'elaborazione di una sottotrama romantica meno adolescenziale e più solida, tra gelosie, allontanamenti e nuovi flirt. Certo se i Telltale arrivassero al punto di rompere il matrimonio tra... D'accordo non precipitiamo e restiamo a vedere cosa succede. Da qui in poi ci si può aspettare di tutto.

Lungi dall’avere pretese o velleità rivoluzionarie, Marvel: La Grande Alleanza 2 è una buona dimostrazione di come, pur non stravolgendo nulla rispetto ai suoi predecessori, una licenza può essere tramutata in gioco molto divertente. Pur non essendo precisissimo, infatti, il sistema di controllo garantisce un pizzico di freschezza ad un titolo divertente ma senza troppe pretese. Gli elementi RPG assicurano al titolo una profondità in più, rafforzata in primis dalla presenza dei tanti personaggi a disposizione, che faranno la felicità degli appassionati. Certo, la perfezione artistica e ludica del recente Batman Arkham Asylum è ben lontana (il titolo Rocksteady è a tutti gli effetti il nuovo metro di paragone per quanto concerne i videogiochi ispirati ad una licenza del genere), ma è anche vero che gli appassionati di fumetti, ed in particolar modo quelli partoriti dalla Casa delle Idee, non avranno davvero di che lamentarsi.

The Wii version of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 was nothing to write home about, and dropping in a bunch of technical issues like long loads and a terrible framerate while removing multiplayer doesn't make the PSP any more appealing.

With solid, fast paced gameplay and an excellent presentation that's easily the best the series has ever had, NBA 2K10 continues its strong pedigree of great basketball. While the presentation holds down the fort, the inclusion of the NBA Today and My Player modes, as well as the addition of the developmental leagues make an already good title even better. While the technical issues, such as the slowdown and the legacy problems with the AI and shooting are dismaying, they don't completely destroy the on-court experience, which is still strong enough to allow 2K to hold the basketball crown for yet another year.

I know there's a menagerie of big games on the horizon and you probably have plenty to keep yourself occupied until then, but I encourage people to give Tornado Outbreak a try. The game is forty dollars on PS3, 360 and Wii (which might be ten dollars too much), but it's still worth the money. The combination of a cute story with straight-forward, extremely rewarding gameplay makes up for the low production values of certain game elements. And, with lots of hidden goodies to find in each stage and drop-in/out local two-player, Tornado Outbreak is ultimately worth the investment. You'll get the same experience on any platform, so pick your console of choice and start saving the world... by destroying it.
