The Chronicles of Spellborn almost feels like a contradiction of itself. While the game boasts some really great features, they all seem to have a downside. For example, there are tons of quests, but many are the same old quests that MMO players have been doing for 10 years now. The crafting system can be used by anyone without spending loads of time grinding away on planks and backpacks, but hardcore crafters and craft-based guilds will not be happy with such a simplistic system. The gameplay is enjoyable because it has this fresh new combat system; but at the same time you are grinding away on x number of bears, which look like brown paper bags from a distance. Character customization is excellent; but there are only two races to choose from. The list goes on. While The Chronicles of Spellborn is certainly a fun game, it has a very casual feeling about it. The sort of game that you can readily put away without having to get "just one more kill". There's a lot of solo content at your disposal, enough to make your way to the Level 50 cap. But the thought of doing it all over again with a new character isn't particularly on my to-do list, and a lack of PvP content and epic battles will likely turn off hardcore players.

From the moment we saw the bizarre music video for Plants vs. Zombies we knew we wanted to play this game. The end product is really fantastic and stands right up there with PopCap's other hits like Peggle and Bejewelled. It has that elusive "special something" that gets its hooks in you and convinces you to forego food, sleep, and other essentials just to see what the next level has in store. If you've never played a tower defense game before, this is the one you should try. And if you're sick to death of tower defense games, this one's gonna bring you back into the fold.

Space Invaders Extreme is entering a pretty crowded virtual shelf, with amazing retro updates and influences like Pac-Man Championship Edition and Geometry Wars, two games I personally feel are far superior throwbacks than Space Invaders Extreme is, at least on the Xbox 360. The Xbox Live Arcade version of Taito's 2008 handheld game might have all the same elements that made an incredible shooter on the PSP and Nintendo DS, but as a console experience it's dialed down to simply "good."

Il confronto con Final Fantasy IV, termine di paragone su Nintendo DS, diventa praticamente d'obbligo: Suikoden Tierkreis non raggiunge i virtuosismi tecnici del prodotto Square Enix e come gioco si allontana dalle peculiarità che hanno reso famosa la serie, ma si rivela comunque un ottimo RPG. La storia è avvincente e ben raccontata, l'etereogenità dei numerosissimi personaggi intriga il giocatore e la semplicità di un sistema di combattimento ben congegnato lo culla per tutta la durata dell'avventura. Poteva essere più collegato a una saga così amata, ma già così Suikoden Tierkreis è una perla imperdibile per ogni amante del genere in possesso della console Nintendo.

Finalement, Sengoku Anthology regroupe trois jeux aux qualités très inégales. Ainsi, seul le troisième volet est réellement digne d'intérêt, les deux premiers étant davantage présents pour la culture vidéoludique que pour autre chose. Malgré ses indéniables atouts, Sengoku 3 justifie-t-il à lui seul l'achat de cette compilation sur PC ? Au prix annoncé de 29,99 €, l'addition peu paraître un peu salée, surtout que la concurrence est rude du côté des émulateurs et des jeux gratuits, à l'image de Streets of Rage Revival.

Do not buy this game. See, if it had been made with solid controls, a plot that was intriguing, vastly improved visuals, stable gameplay, and a host of other elements, Stalin vs. Martians could have been one of those guilty pleasures that would've turned the game into a cult classic. As it stands now, there's practically no redeeming value or reason to play this game. If you have money that you're willing to throw away, go ahead. But you'll definitely have buyer's remorse if you choose to get this game. Once again, do not buy this game.

The thing about this game is that the hero could be anyone. Nothing about Wolverine's powers or abilities make him feel like the Wolverine you know and love. Sure, he has claws, but they're not doing anything special because his bare fists could do the same amount of damage. In the end, this is a run of the mill superhero title with plenty of foibles (i.e. clipping through objects), flaws (i.e. poor framerate and the lack of music), and a control scheme that clearly wasn't designed with the PlayStation 2 in mind. It's frustrating and boring all at once. There's no need to run out and pick this one up.
