Have a Nice Death Dopo un anno di accesso anticipato, Have a Nice Death irrompe sulle scene in release completa confermando la bontà del progetto Magic Design Studios e del proprio percorso di sviluppo. Un action roguelite con un gameplay esaltante, arricchito da una visione artistica ispirata, che tuttavia risplende nel suo essere allegoria (ed atto di accusa) nei confronti della società lavorativa contemporanea. Nonostante un level design procedurale fin troppo rinunciatario ed alcuni problemi di bilanciamento, Have a Nice Death rappresenta un centro per il team di sviluppo: date loro un aumento (e qualche settimana di ferie). PRO Affronta tematiche contemporanee con tatto e consapevolezza | Gameplay scattante e furioso | Buon senso di progressione e tanti contenuti | CONTRO Level design fin troppo scialbo | Artisticamente potrebbe risultare ridondante per parte del pubblico | Qualche incertezza di bilanciamento |

Il gioco è ben strutturato e prevede un viaggio verso la Death Incorporation, azienda fondata da Morte per agevolare il passaggio delle anime nell'aldilà. I giocatori dovranno vestire i panni proprio del tristo Mietitore e aggirarsi tra i dipartimenti, sconfiggendo nemici e boss. Le palette a tinte grigie hanno un'ottima resa. I progressi fatti durante ogni partita vengono persi, tranne alcune eccezioni, che comprendono le ricompense e altri bonus fissi. I vari piani della Death inc. possono risultare ripetitivi, ma scorrono rapidamente sotto il mantello fluttuante di Morte, con nemici e boss sempre posizionati in attesa di attaccare.

Tango Gameworks aime les histoires de famille ! Après le lien entre Sebastian Castellanos et sa fille dans The Evil Within 2, ici c'est Akito et sa sœur Mari qui sont de la partie. Le côté torturé tant aimé par le studio est bien présent et prouve qu'ils sont les maîtres en la matière ce qui n'augure que du bon pour l'avenir du genre chez Xbox (bien qu'ils sachent faire autre chose, il suffit de voir le splendide Hi-Fi RUSH). Et comme on sait que Shinji Mikami s'en va de son studio très bientôt, il nous offre sa dernière danse sous "La Sonate au Clair de Lune" qu'il aura emportée avec lui de Resident Evil (1996) à nos jours ! Salut l'artiste !

Con la sua dozzina di ore necessarie per giungere ai titoli di coda, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution si è dimostrato un action in prima persona longevo, divertente, graficamente all'altezza delle aspettative. Dopo il mezzo passo falso compiuto su Meta Quest 2, dovuto tra le altre cose anche ad un numero spropositato di bug e glitch, i ragazzi di Skydance Interactive sono riusciti a correggere il tiro, regalando ai fan del brand, ma più in generale agli amanti di videogiochi a base di zombie, un titolo in realtà virtuale praticamente imperdibile. Il riciclo di buona parte degli scenari indispettirà molti ed è innegabile che qualche zona inedita in più avrebbe certamente giovato all'esperienza. Inoltre, ulteriori opzioni legate all'accessibilità avrebbero reso il software facilmente digeribile ad una fetta più ampia di pubblico. Ciononostante, rinunciando a qualsiasi compresso, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution, grazie soprattutto al preciso e quanto mai coinvolgente schema dei controlli, ad oggi si configura come una delle migliori esperienze disponibili su PlayStation VR 2 e, più in generale, per realtà virtuale. Praticamente imperdibile per i fan dell'orrore e di The Walking Dead.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection remains true to its original releases while adding a couple of appreciated additions to clean up some of its timewasters. We are of course talking about the Buster MAX Mode which makes getting through the random battles a lot more bearable. You can still play it as it was intended to be played, but having an escape feature be tied to RNG is not ideal. Outside of this and some accessibility options, not a whole lot has changed from the original games – there’s even its online functionality, allowing for multiplayer and trading. Each release is still as good as we remember them being, and considering you get upwards of ten games, it’s hard not to recommend this to new and old school players. Capcom is quickly running out of Mega Man games to remaster, with notable exclusions being Battle Network Transmission, Command Mission, Legends and Star Force, but they continue to release incredible value propositions that bring these classics to a brand new generation of players.

It's clear that a lot of effort and love went into Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection; this is a worthwhile re-release that gives you a lot of bang for your buck. While everyone will have their favorite, the Mega Man Battle Network series remained remarkably consistent throughout its whole run, due in no small part to the innovative battle system and charming storylines present in each entry. If you’re a fan of Mega Man and haven’t given these games a shot yet, you owe it to yourself to pick this one up immediately. Even if you’re not a Rockman enthusiast, these games each offer up some inventive RPG experiences that are certainly worth your time.

Volume 1 of the Battle Network Collection has become the definitive experience for new and returning players. Battle Network 2 and 3 are some of the Blue Bomber’s best titles, and online play will make mastering them together the best they’ve ever been.
